10 hidden references to Homestuck in Deltarun

Undertale, Deltarune and Homestuck share the history of being conceived and writing at about the same time. While web author Andrew Hussie created a homestruck, a story about peas, apocalypse, timelines and other shenanigans, Toby Fox worked in his own magnum opus, underrtale and deltarune.

Toby Fox continued to fold music for Homestuck and some influences can still be seen in deltarun. There are characters with similar conspiracy threats, concepts that bring back old memories and musical impulses that you can't choose as soon as you notice them. Prepare to enter the Inpisphere with these Homestuck references in Deltarun.

Gamzee is an interesting character in Homestuck, because the villain WebComic reveals the true origin of his juggalo religion and also the nature of his existence in the context of the story. This fourth revelation of the wall turns its mind when it becomes a villain with a goal.

This is the fictional reincarnation of Eridana Ampora, the troll at the top of the alternative hemospekurum, which is desperate for relationship and consent. Even their themes sound similar when you start listening carefully.

The worlds of the Dark World and Sburb work in the same way as video games. Both allow you to use magical forces, intensify and use commands that are considered mechanics in their reality.

Ralsei plays a very similar role as Sprites from Homestuck of Meta context. Raslei is a character who understands the rules, nature and the fate of the dark world when he explains them to Kris and Susie. The same role applies to Sprites to lead Beta Kids in Homestuck through their role in the game.

There are many references to homestuck hidden in Deltarun, but some feel more like their own thing. This is the beauty of deltarune because you don't need previous knowledge to enjoy it. It simply improves the experience.

Kris can play the piano, the feature John Egbert has. This may seem unimportant, but the fact that two blue figures share the same feature, and eventually playing a body surrounded by a similar landscape is not a coincidence. It is soft and does not feel forced.

DELTARUNE examines its meta context through Kris, which is literally under the control of the player. The elections can be made on their behalf and sometimes even try to resist your style of play. This feature can also be seen in Homestuck in scenes where characters do not want to do what the control panel tells them to do.
