2XKO has some expensive skins

New posts on 2XKO The subreddit continues to pop up, and many fans are frustrated with what they see inside the store. While there will certainly be those who believe that this is the same as Riot Games, there will also be those who complain about the fact that many of these skins and packs are simply unobtainable at the prices they are currently listed at. Some have expressed concern over the fact that others would judge them, or feel embarrassed when people know how much they spend on a particular character's costume when they wear it in a normal game. Many seem willing to hold out until prices change or a discount is potentially applied at some point.

While some skins are locked inside the current Season 1 Battle Pass, such as the Chromacrash skins for Warwick, Jinx, Ekko, and Caitlin, 2XKO introduced a number of packs for Season 1. The Frameperfect set donates a portion of its proceeds to help the tournament scenes, but fans can also choose from other sets that give characters a Bee-esque look and retro arcade-inspired styles. The packs come with additional customization options such as emotes, stickers, and win screen animations in addition to character skins. In fact, the Arcade Megabundle option will cost players a total of $80. There are also some individual character skins 2XKO and specific colors, most of which must be purchased with some in-game currency.

In fact, Riot has also tried to capitalize on the popularity of its Arcade animated series by adding cosmetics and items based on the show. 2XKO. While most fans agree that the costumes are extremely well made, the big issue is that they are largely unobtainable unless players are willing to spend $100 on the Ultra Starter Edition. Additional starter packs are also available on a per-basis basis Arcanabut for players who want specific skins for Ekko, Jinx and Vi, the only way is through the most expensive pack. Players also need to unlock many characters, including the arrival of Caitlin to 2XKO during season 1, which can be done by earning free currency or spending money on KO points or a champion token.

For fans of other Riot Games titles like League of Legends or Valiantthis matter of paid cosmetics is nothing new for the studio. There are countless examples of player complaints about various character skins or packs that have drawn the ire of the community over what many felt were too expensive. In fact, during the Hall of Legends event League of Legends players could purchase the Immortalized Legend skin for Ahri, part of a collection that was worth over $400. The purely cosmetic collection has come under heavy criticism from fans, with some developers defending Riot and explaining the pricing decision. Either way, this cosmetic pricing issue doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon.
