Dragon Ball: Top 10 Strongest Low-Class Saiyans, Ranked

The lower class Saiyans in DBZ are destined for a life of constant combat, but the strongest can outclass the Elite Saiyans with enough training.

This means that Frieza has lost by a large margin before, and at the end of the Black Frieza Saga, it is certain that he will go down once and for all. Frieza is undoubtedly powerful, but he lost badly to the Saiyans. Between Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball SuperFrieza's staggering level of power could not save him from defeat at the hands of the strongest Super Saiyans in the series.

Super Saiyan Goku was the first person in history to defeat Frieza

Before the Namek Saga, Frieza had never lost a fight in his life. He was always so strong that he never even needed to train. Everything changed when he first met Goku. Although Frieza spends most of his battle toying with Goku and only fighting at 50% of his max power, Goku unlocking Super Saiyan completely changes the course of the battle in his favor.

Frieza spends the rest of the final battle of the Namek Saga slowly losing to Goku as the Super Saiyan beats him into submission and humiliates him. Even using his 100% Full Power form is not enough for Frieza to overcome the gap between him and Goku. In the end, Goku easily defeats and nearly kills Frieza before Namek explodes.

Super Saiyan Future Trunks killed Mecha Frieza in literally seconds

Future Trunks VS Mecha Frieza in Dragon Ball Z

Although Goku fought Frieza with the intention of killing Namek, his final blast was not actually powerful enough to completely destroy Frieza. Frieza is eventually found by his father King Cold among the wreckage of Namek and is slowly repaired into Mecha Frieza. Mecha Frieza has made it his mission to go to Earth, kill all of Goku's friends, and then defeat Goku once and for all.

Unfortunately for Frieza, Future Trunks travels back in time on the day of his arrival, and within seconds, cuts Frieza to pieces and disembowells him before he can attack. In Trunks' timeline, Goku uses Instant Transmission to teleport into Mecha Frieza before he can fight any of the Z-Fighters, killing him and King Cold instead of Trunks.

Despite Goku starting the series much stronger than Vegeta, it didn't take long for Vegeta to catch up to and even surpass Goku in Dragon Ball Super.

Super Saiyan Blue Goku defeats Frieza again in Resurrection F

Super Saiyan Blue Goku vs Golden Frieza
Super Saiyan Blue Goku vs Golden Frieza

Although Golden Frieza is more powerful than Super Saiyan Blue Goku and Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection Fhe failed to actually train the form. Instead, he rushed to Earth the moment he unlocked his Golden Transformation and quickly ran out of stamina fighting Super Saiyan Blue Goku.

Super Saiyan Blue Goku very slowly gains the upper hand over Golden Frieza during their fight, tanking hit after hit and landing massive powerful punches on Frieza as his golden form drains him of Ki, leaving him exhausted by the end of the fight. Super Saiyan Blue Goku successfully defeats Frieza, but Sorbet shoots him in the heart, meaning the fight can be considered a draw. This means Goku kills Frieza himself moments later.

Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta technically beats Golden Frieza in Resurrection F

Even though Frieza blows up the Earth and Vegeta with it, near the end Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection FSuper Saiyan Blue Vegeta can still defeat Golden Frieza himself. After Frieza wastes most of his energy in his fight with Super Saiyan Blue Goku, his golden form just doesn't have enough juice or power to keep up with Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta.

Super Saiyan Blue Vegeta completely overpowered Golden Frieza, giving him an incredibly cathartic defeat. Frieza can barely defend himself as SSB Vegeta beats him into complete submission. The only reason Vegeta doesn't kill Frieza on the spot is because he takes one second too long to think of how to kill Frieza, giving him just enough time to destroy the planet. Vegeta technically won the battle, but lost the war.

Vegeta actually died as many times as Krillin between Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball Super and Dragon Ball Online

Legendary Super Saiyan Broly wiped out Frieza for hours

Legendary Super Saiyan Broly vs Frieza

Once Goku and Vegeta realize that the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is too strong to keep up with in his Super Saiyan Blue forms, Goku teleports them away from the battlefield so they can practice the Fusion Dance and let Gogeta end the battle once and for all. Frieza is left to fend for himself as Broly absolutely destroys him for the better part of an hour.

The fact that Frieza can survive fighting Broly for so long is actually an impressive feat in itself. Legendary Super Saiyan Broly is many stronger than Golden Frieza and Goku and Vegeta couldn't fight him for more than a few minutes. That said, it's not really fair to call it a “fight” because Broly just spends his whole body beating on Frieza, who has no means of meaningfully defending himself.
