50% of Dispatch players make the wrong choice with Waterboy

This article contains spoilers for Send until episode 4.

Elections Send forcing players to do can often feel excruciating, especially when it's unclear how it will pay off in the long run. Just see the notification that the character will remember the choice Send players second guess every decision they make. As for one choice in Send Episode 4, the right option is not immediately obvious and 50% of players probably regret their decision.

Each Send an episode usually contains one major decision that significantly affects the future of the narrative, and those decisions tend to be the most challenging. Send it offers players a chance to see how their choices stack up against other players and shows what percentage of players chose the same option as them. Although this can be a useful way to see where there is agreement Send players lie Send The choice of Waterboy vs. Phenomaman in episode 4 shows a lack of match between players, with both options essentially split 50-50.

Waterboy is a better addition to the Z-Team, but half of all dispatch players still pick Phenomaman

After Send Episode 3 forces players to decide whether to cut either Sonar or Coupe from the Z-Team, Episode 4 follows and gives players a choice between two potential replacements: Waterboy or Phenomaman. After Phenomaman's split with the Blonde Blazer, a hero who would have once been a clear top pick comes with enough emotional baggage that players may want to consider the well-intentioned but clumsy Waterboy. Although at first glance it doesn't seem like Waterboy is the better option, Send Players won't want to miss the opportunity to add an incredibly useful member to the Z-Team by taking on Phenomaman over Waterboy.

In terms of sheer numbers, Phenomaman starts out as a much more capable hero than Waterboy, with significant points in combat, vigor, and mobility that make him ideal for calls that require these typical crime-fighting traits. However, appearances can be deceiving, as Phenomaman's breakup with Blonde Blazer left him with a major disadvantage.

  • Easily depressed: Phenomaman only needs 2 seconds of rest, but if any call fails or is missed, he will be depressed and needs 45 seconds of rest.

Players risk losing Phenomaman for 45 seconds every time he fails or misses a call, which can be crippling when the Z-Team needs all the members it can get for an optimal day's work. While Waterboy's stats initially don't rival Phenomaman's, he's a better investment in the long run because players don't have to worry about a potentially long downtime.

Phenomaman can lose the depressed state with the Heavily Medicated skill, which can be obtained through special hero training.

Why Waterboy is a better choice for Dispatch players

Not only can players avoid dealing with a depressed Phenomaman by picking Waterboy, but they can also potentially fill any gaps in their team with him. Waterboy's stats may be low when he first joins the Z-Team, but this essentially makes him a blank slate that the player can customize to suit the needs of the Z-Team. If players lack a high Intel hero after losing Sonar, they can focus on investing in Waterboy's Intellect stat instead. Similarly, if players choose to abort the Coupe Send Episode 3 and you need a hero with better mobility, Waterboy can be a perfect replacement with a little investment.

Conversely, Phenomaman is already maxed and cannot gain XP, meaning players are left with his stats as they are. Although it does mean a solid heroic addition early on when Phenomaman joins Send Episode 4, can become a burden if he ever fails a mission or if players are already running multiple combat and Vigor focused team members. In almost all scenarios, Waterboy is the better choice of the two, but the community is still split on their actual choices in the game.
