One Piece's The Elbaf arc is shaping up to be one of the most memorable of the series. While iconic arcs like Marineford, Enies Lobby, and Sabaody Archipelago are held in high esteem by fans, Elbaf looks like it could be joining the conversation soon.
The arc was filled with great character interactions, revelations, and revelations that everyone should have One piece fan excited to see what else Oda cooks up for the rest of 2026. As with any arc, some characters will shine more than others. This group has a chance to really stand out during the rest of the Elbaf arc.
It's time to say Hello To One Piece's 2 New God Devil Fruits
After Nike, there are two new God Devil Fruits in One Piece.
Usopp
Usopp is often depicted as a comical character. As one of the weaker Straw Hats, he doesn't get many individual moments to stand out as the crew faces various challenges, instead contributing as part of the group. But we may see some big things from Usopp in Elbaf.
Fans have long expected Usopp to have his big moment in Elbaf, as he has shown an interest and admiration for the island's warrior culture. With everything going on right now, the Straw Hats will continue to rely on big hitters like Luffy, Zoro, Sanji and now Loki to fend off the aggression of the World Government. But while he may not be able to directly attack Ima or any of the God Knights, there's a good chance we'll see Usopp ditch his usual cowardly routine and make a big splash before the Elbaf arc ends.
Luffy
This one is a given. As the main character of the series, you can bet that Luffy will stand out in Elbaf as much as in any other One piece. Whether it's his tenacious spirit or his ability to adapt to any situation, Luffy always impresses the most. Elbaf should be no different.
With Imu and some of the god knights terrorizing the island, it won't be easy to fend them off. Sanji and Zoro will certainly get their chance to intervene, as will Loki. However, Luffy will be the deciding factor in all of this. With the possessed Gunko already doing a number of things on the island and the people of Elbaf in a panic over the kidnapped children and the attacks on earth, the only one who can turn things around will be Luffy, with the drums of liberation playing as he challenges Ima.
Robin
Like Usopp, Robin also has a connection to Elbaf. Hers, however, is more personal because it was there that she finally met Saul. It was a great emotional moment, but it shouldn't be the most important thing we see from Robin on Elbafa.
Elbaf will be critical in understanding One Piece's history. We already saw this when Franky came across the mural on Treasure Tree Adam, and we know that Robin is one of the few people who can read Elbaf's Harley, giving her an insight that most don't. With the Owl Library currently burning, we don't know if Harley will be lost for good. Having already interacted with her, Robin will no doubt play a big role in the future if the library and the rest of its contents go up in smoke.
Dawn
Regardless of the arc, Zoro will always be right next to Luffy, ready to put it into his captain's hands. Although he has always played an important role, Luffy will need Zoro now more than ever.
As the only other member of the Straw Hat crew capable of using Supreme King Haki, Zoro will play a large role in the conflict with the Knights of God. Loki joining the fray will definitely help in a big way, but if the Straw Hats have any chance of success, they'll need their swordsman to be in top form.
Loki
Speaking of Loki, it looks like Elbaf's “Cursed Prince” is finally ready to hit the battlefield. After keeping fans waiting for so long and getting a better understanding of his character thanks to the extensive flashback of the Elbaf arc, One piece Fans will finally get to see Loki and Luffy fight side by side soon.
What little we've seen of Loki so far shows us that he absolutely has the potential to help turn things around, especially when paired with Luffy and Zoro. We still need to see more of his Devil Fruit, but the little glimpse we've seen is promising. Loki has been a key player in the Elbaf Arc so far, and now that he's gotten his fair share of development, we should expect him to play an even bigger role when things really start to heat up.
Gunko (Imu)
Currently possessed by Ima and wreaking havoc on Elbafa, Gunko is one of the most interesting characters in the current arc. Cold and arrogant, we've seen how dangerous Gunko and her Aro Aro no Mi can be. In addition, we also got a quick look at her past that somehow involves Brook. Since she is such a mysterious character, fans are dying to know more about her.
We may not get all the answers in this arc, but expect Oda to share some more information as it goes on. Right now, holding Imu makes Gunk the biggest threat on Elbaf. It's hard to tell where the arc will go from here, but expect Gunko to be a key player throughout.
