Watching a character's win/loss record in an action anime like this is always fun Naruto. Watching these fights unfold for plot reasons or for vital character moments is the most important thing, but when fans watch it again Narutothey want a new point of view. To gauge how strong and successful these characters ended up being, anime fans like Naruto they start keeping score as if they were watching sports. The members of Team 7 may not take ninja fighting as a sport, but spectators are welcome.
The final results may not be that surprising when it all comes together. Weaker supporting characters like Tenten, Hinata Hyuga, and Kiba Inuzuka hardly ever fight and often lose humiliatingly or need rescuing. Characters like Shikamaru Nara and Rock Lee have more mixed to positive results, while a certain handful Naruto cast members are far ahead of the curse. As expected, the best players with the highest win rates tend to have the best jutsu and lots of plot.
Naruto: Each Hokage's Unique Ability, Rated
Each Hokage's unique abilities stand out, from Hashirama's Wood Style to Naruto's Six Paths Sage Mode.
Itachi Uchiha tends to escape battle without sustaining serious injuries
Itachi only lost when his illness caught up with him
Itachi Uchiha may be lower than some of the other Uchiha in terms of win rate, but that's no reason to dismiss this character. Itachi defeated relatively few named characters in the game Naruto anime, but also suffered a few defeats for the same reason. He made a tactical retreat with Kisame when Jiraiya showed up to save Naruto and Sasuke in that hotel, though it sounds like a partial defeat at most. In many battles, Itachi either wins or leaves on his own terms, so his losses are small.
Itachi also killed an unknown number of his fellow Uchihas in that infamous family massacre. Among the victims were Itachi's mother and father, Fugaku and Mikoto, who were accomplished ninjas in their own right. Fans may also recall that in his first on-screen appearance, Itachi defeated both Kurenai Yuhi and Kakashi Hatake using only genjutsu, demonstrating his prowess in this bloodless fighting style. Itachi also accidentally defeated his brother Sasuke in that hotel hallway encounter before Itachi allowed himself to die in a rematch years later.
Obito Uchiha dominated the battlefield with his Tobi and Madara Personas
Obito Kamui made him almost untouchable in battle
Obito Uchiha is one of the few members of this Sharingan-wielding clan that has a high win rate rating, which may come as no surprise. Between their famous dojutsu and signature armor plotting, members of the Uchiha clan tend to win or at least survive their many battles. Obito is among them, suffering only a few notable losses. One of them was when he was crushed almost to death under that boulder as a genin, but after Obito met Madara, his win rate skyrocketed.
7 Strongest Kage in Naruto (Not including Hokage)
Konoha had many powerful Kage. There are still many powerful Kage outside of Konoha in Naruto.
Gaining serious power, Obito went by names like Tobi and Madara and easily defeated various ninja from behind his many masks. He even took down the two Root members, Foo and Torune, with complete ease, not even fearing a chakra bug attack. Obito's impressive win/loss ratio can also be attributed to his frequent use of Kami, which allows him to teleport parts of his body to appear intangible. Until finally defeat and death struck Obita as he gave his life to help Team 7 take down the real villains.
Six paths of pain lost until the very end
The Talk Jutsu helped the pain become a gracious loser
The Six Paths of Pain only fought in the classic Pain Arc, but that was all the time Pain needed to get a stellar win ratio. Although most of Pain's victories were overturned when Nagato was convinced he would revive his many victims, those wins still count. Pain succeeded where many Naruto villains failed and outright killed main actors like Kakashi Hatake without help. Pain was also the one who defeated and killed Jiraiya during their fight in the Hidden Rain Village.
The Six Paths of Pain defeated all of Hidden Leaf Village and killed most of its defenders, with Tsunade and Sakura Haruno being among the few survivors. If fans want to get technical, they can even count on Pain temporarily capturing and defeating Naruto himself on the battlefield. Pain stated that the nine-tailed jinchuriki had been captured and Naruto needed a little help from Hinata to get out of this situation.
Sasuke Uchiha thrived in Shippuden with his many techniques and traits
Sasuke felt like every Uchiha rolled into one
Sasuke suffered a painful defeat early on Naruto anime with him nearly dying inside Haku's crystal ice mirror. He also failed to defeat Gaara during the Chunin Trials arc and the subsequent Operation Konoha Crush. Otherwise, Sasuke's record looks pretty good, with him either achieving stunning victories against powerful foes or escaping the wrath of even stronger ones. And while Itachi effectively handed Sasuke victory in their final showdown, it's still technically true that Sasuke won the duel.
5 things Naruto does better than all other Shonen anime
In these areas, Naruto absolutely dominates all shonen anime. No one comes close.
Sasuke was turning on the whole time Narutoallowing him to defeat the Sound Genin, Yoroi Akado, and even Naruto himself Shippuden even started. Then, after the time skip, Sasuke's true rampage began as he took down the likes of Deidara, Itachi, Killer B (in a sense) and even Danzo Shimura and Orochimaru. When it came to fighting his rival Naruto, Sasuke tended to slightly dominate or at least hit with Naruto, which is saying a lot. Naruto is a famous shonen hero with unlimited power, so the fact that Sasuke can break even so often is worthy of respect.
Naruto Uzumaki became stronger and stronger, winning battles that changed the world
Naruto also relied on the armor to pull it off
This is common for the main character in similar anime Naruto build an excellent track record as a fighter. Naruto Uzumaki may have suffered some losses at times or needed someone to bail him out of trouble, but otherwise his record speaks for itself. Naruto had a few early mistakes, such as freezing when he was attacked by a Mist towing chunin during the Land of Waves mission, but otherwise Naruto is doing pretty well. He effectively defeated Zabuza's talk jutsu before scoring an upset victory over Kiba Inuzuka. Naruto also fought Gaara to a draw and won the personal battle with more talk jutsu.
Like his eternal rival Sasuke, Naruto enjoyed even more victories Shippuden anime where it was almost impossible to beat his jutsu and armor. Naruto was unable to properly defeat the fake Itachi, but he defeated Pain when no one else could, and also overpowered Kakuza with his Rasenshuriken. Naruto also won against Obito Uchiha in the final war and also played a central role in the downfall of Kaguya Otsutsuki.
Madara Uchiha defeated hundreds of ninjas in the final war
Only Black Zetsu's Betrayal could stop Madara's rampage
No ninja has a more impressive battle record than the supervillain Madara Uchiha himself. He suffered a shocking and even humiliating loss when Black Zetsu betrayed him on behalf of Kaguya, but otherwise Madara seems untouchable. In the ancient times, Madara defeated many members of the Senju clan and then seemingly returned from the dead to claim another victory in the present. Madara had to wait until late in the anime to even begin, but he made up for lost time in ways the anime fandom will never forget.
It was Madara who took on the entire shinobi coalition with little more than his fists, massacring dozens of ninja with at most a random effort. That alone gives him the best win/loss record Naruto anime, and then there's the matter of named characters. Madara faced and defeated the assembled Kage, which is truly amazing, and he never actually lost to Naruto Uzumaki. It may seem overwhelming that Madara's winning streak ended with him failing to defeat Naruto, but given Naruto's plot and Black Zetsu's betrayal, it's understandable. And in return, Naruto couldn't even beat Madara, not even as an almost unbeatable shonen protagonist.
