Jinwoo vs Giant Arachnid Buryura
One of the first fights Jinwoo had with a mid-level dungeon boss was against the Giant Arachnid Buryura inside the Insect Dungeon. It was a C-class monster that looked like a giant spider Eight-legged madmen film, radiating a deadly aura. With countless eyes, a grotesque mouth, and long spread legs, the spider's huge body loomed large as a house.
He wasn't easy to deal with as the Buryura Arachnid spews out a caustic acid that could quickly fry Jinwoo's body parts if he wasn't careful and fast enough to avoid its attacks. At first, Jinwoo was confident that he could defeat Arachnid at his current level and using Kasak's dagger until he exhausted his energy. He eventually won the fight, but only because of the System Restore feature.

Jinwoo vs Kang Taeshik
Kang Taeshik is no ordinary hunter. He is a B-category assassin who works in the Korea Hunter Association not for the pay, but because of his unusual penchant for killing other hunters, especially those rehabilitators who have done more bad than good in society. In exchange for a hefty fee, Kang Taeshik does what he does best: killing clean and fast.
Kang Taeshik eventually crossed paths with Sung Jinwoo, leading to an unforgettable battle between two hunters with similar fighting styles. At first, Kang Taeshik overwhelmed Jinwoo with his unmatched speed and lightning fast reflexes, but Jinwoo suddenly adapted to Kang Taeshik's movements and kept up with his attacks one after another.
Even after Kang Taeshik unleashed his stealth skill, Jinwoo still came out victorious. This victory only happened because Jinwoo had Recover Status Defects and also had the ability to increase his speed by 30% in the middle of battle, which allowed him to surpass Kang Taeshik. Plus, he had Lee Joo-Hee by his side as a personal support.

Jinwoo vs Blood Red Commander Igris
Sung Jinwoo almost died fighting Igris during the Job-Change quest where he never thought he would face a stronger opponent than him. To make matters worse, he barely had time to restore his strength and stamina, as the quest's rules forbade him from using any restoration items, forcing him to rely only on his physical limits and strategic thinking.
The fight against Igris barely left room for Jinwoo to catch his breath. Even though he is bigger than Jinwoo, his speed surpasses him and each punch contains much more lethal force. Fortunately, Igris favored fair competition, so when Jinwoo dropped his weapon, he never hesitated to drop his own sword as well. If Igris had kept his sword, it would have been Jinwoo's loss.

Jinwoo vs Hollow Magicians
In the same job change task, Jinwoo was the last stand against the Hollow Magicians and their Summoned Knights. Shortly after defeating Igris, Jinwoo faced the summoned knights endlessly, not fully aware of the presence of the Hollow Wizards. As a result, Jinwoo was cornered and almost died to the knight army.
However, before Jinwoo is killed, a call for a daily task suddenly transports him from his search for a job change, saving his life in the process. Jinwoo took this opportunity to recover while crushing the levels by killing as many desert monsters as he could to get stronger. He also spent this time analyzing what happened in the third phase of the Job Change task.

Jinwoo vs Baruka
Baruka is best remembered in Solo leveling as the first high-level dungeon boss that Sung Jinwoo failed to acquire as a shadow soldier. His level was higher than Jinwoo, and he probably did not desire to serve a lowly person like him. After all, he was an ice elf who took so much pride in his strength and sentience.
During the Red Gate arc, Baruka had the upper hand against Jinwoo in the first few minutes of the battle. He was strong enough to overpower Jinwoo, even with the shadow army under his command. However, Kim Chul, an A-rank hunter who harbors a grudge against Jinwoo, happened to appear at just the right moment, allowing Jinwoo to turn the tables on Baruka by using him to his advantage.

Jinwoo vs Sillad and Rakan
Fighting a single monarch is already a monumental challenge, but facing two at the same time presents an entirely different level of danger for Sung Jinwoo. Moreover, he even had to finish off the Insect Queen before he could fully focus on Sillad and Rakan. While Jinwoo had his shadow army by his side, they were not on the same level as these monarchs.
As expected, Jinwoo had a hard time winning against the combined forces of the monarchs. They cornered him and inflicted a large blow on his chest. But before they could actually finish off Jinwoo, the black heart given by Ashborn began to pulse, heralding the beginning of Jinwoo's final awakening as the full-fledged Shadow Monarch.
