This article contains major spoilers for Jujutsu Kaisen and Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo.
Jujutsu Kaisen ended its phenomenal manga run in 2024, and a year later fans were gifted with a continuation of the series, the so-called Jujutsu Kaisen Module. Modulo is known as a short but captivating sequel.
Jujutsu Kaisen: Sukuna's 7 Greatest Achievements in Shinjuku Showdown
Sukuna was a force in the Shinjuku showdown arc. Here are his greatest achievements in the final JJK arc.
Since Modulo takes place 68 years after the Battle of Sukuna, fans are not surprised many of JJK's beloved characters have already died. Some deaths are heavily hinted at, while others are directly confirmed by the narrator or other characters. Either way, Modulo probably has more heartbreak in store for fans of the original cast.
Megumi Fushiguro
Megumi Fushiguro was a character that many were really looking forward to seeing in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. After all, fans got to see two more of the main trio, Yuji and Nobara. Yuji stopped aging completely and somehow disappeared while Nobara is now an old lady. Yet both are alive.
However, Megumi may be dead. Although it is only strongly implied, the fact that he did not show up in JJK Modulo during Yuji's search, and the fact that Yuka Okkotsu is a new user of Ten Shadows, his own technique, strongly suggests that he is dead.
Hana Kurusu
Hana Kurusu was definitely one interesting character from the original Jujutsu Kaisen series. Even though she wasn't the most important character, she still had some good moments against Sukuna. However, her death was recently confirmed in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Nobara.
When they asked about Yuji, Nobara mentioned that she hadn't seen him since Hana Kurusu's funeral. This confirms that Hana did indeed die a while ago. There are also some implications of her marrying Megumi, but whether that's true or not remains to be confirmed.
Mei Mei
Mei Mei was a 1st level wizard in the original Jujutsu Kaisen. Although Mei Mei was a powerful witch, she was definitely not a great person, although she did help the main cast at times. Mei Mei took control of the New Shadow Style School at the end of Jujutsu Kaisenbut not much is known about her fate until Modulo.
In Modulo, fans see Ui Ui, her younger brother, as the leader of the New Shadow Style School. This appearance strongly suggests that Mei Mei has already died. in addition Mei Mei would have been in the Module for almost 100 yearsso her death will not surprise anyone. However, Ui Ui took over from Mei Mei and started a new cycle.
Maki Zenin
Maki Zenin was the first confirmed death from the old cast in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo. Maki's death was confirmed in the very first chapter and it made fans very sad and shocked. If there was one character fans expected to live much older than most characters, it was definitely Maki.
Jujutsu Kaisen: 8 Characters Who Never Reached Their Peak
JJK recently finished. Many characters never reached their full potential.
after all Maki is superhuman and has superior resistance to things like disease. That he would be among the first to die was not something many expected. The circumstances surrounding her death remain a mystery, but many assume it was just a normal death. Maki's death left many in Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo heartbroken. Her death even left Yuta heartbrokenand her grandchildren, especially Tsurugi, were deeply affected.
Yuta Okkotsu
Yuta Okkotsu is the second Modulo character whose death was confirmed in the very first chapter of the series. After the events of JJK, Yuta went on to lead the Gojo Clan. He also married his high school sweetheart, Maki Zenin. With her, Yuta had one child named Iori Okkotsu and they also had two grandchildren.
Yuta did great, but eventually died of a broken heart. Maki's death hit him hard, especially as someone whose powers revolved around love. With his death, he passed his ring to his granddaughter, Yuka Okkotsu.
Gojo Satoru
If there is one death that completely turned the Jujutsu Kaisen story upside down, it is certainly the death of Gojo Satoru. Gojo Satoru died during the final battle against Sukuna in JJK's original manga.
Gojo was cut in half after letting his guard down and fans still hadn't recovered from the shock of seeing him gone. On that day, humanity lost its strongest. If Gojo had survived this battle, he could have been in the Module in his 90s. Humanity would certainly be lucky to have Gojo against the Dabury threat.
