PlayStation Plus Subscribers should buckle up for Tuesday, December 2, which is set to be one of the busiest days the service will experience all year. The first Tuesday of every month is always exciting for PlayStation Plus subscribers, as that's when new free games are added to the Essential tier. PS Plus monthly free games are also available to those who have signed up to the Extra and Premium tiers, so this is a reason to celebrate for all PS Plus subscribers.
Most of the time, PS Plus free games consist of three PS4 and PS5 titles. For example, the free PS Plus games for November 2025 are Stray, EA Sports WRC 24and Absolutely accurate battle simulator. Stray is an award-winning puzzle/platformer where players take on the role of a cat living in a futuristic world while EA Sports WRC 24 is a racing game and Absolutely accurate battle simulator is, as its name suggests, a battle simulator, but with silly physics. PS Plus subscribers who want to add the three games to their digital libraries can do so until Tuesday, December 2, when they will be replaced by the December 2025 free games.
List of free PS Plus games for December 2025
-
Killing Floor 3 (PS5)
-
LEGO Horizon Adventures (PS5)
-
Neon White (PS4/PS5)
-
Synduality: Echo of Ada (PS5)
-
The Outlast Trials (PS4/PS5)
Instead of just three games in December, PS Plus subscribers get five free games. On December 2nd, PS Plus subscribers can get a surprise Killing Floor 3, LEGO Horizon Adventures, Neon white, Synduality: Echo of Adaand Outlast Trials. Neon white and Outlast Trials they have both PS4 and PS5 native versions available, while the rest of the games are only available on PS5. This will likely be disappointing for fans who have yet to upgrade from PS4 to PS5, and unfortunately the PS4 exclusion will only increase in the new year.
Sony confirmed months ago that PS Plus will stop focusing on PS4 from January 2026. PS4 games will still be added to PS Plus in 2026, but not in the volume that subscribers may be used to, and likely only if the game in question becomes a cross-generation release. If the game is only on PS4, it is highly unlikely that it will be added to any of the PS Plus tiers in 2026.
Red Dead Redemption is also coming to PS Plus on December 2nd
Meanwhile, the monthly free games aren't the only titles subscribers can look forward to on December 2. Those logged into the Extra and Premium tiers can also take a look Red Dead Redemptionwhich is getting a native PS5 version that day. PS5 version Red Dead Redemption will be more powerful than the PS4 version of the game and should be the definitive way to experience the critically acclaimed western.
PS Plus Extra and Premium subscribers will be ready six days later A skate story. A skate story is a one-day PS Plus Extra game about a skateboarding demon and will be released before the official monthly update for the Extra and Premium levels, which is scheduled to take place on December 16. We don't know all the games that will be added to the Extra and Premium PS Plus tiers on December 16th, but we do know some games that are leaving PS Plus that day, so subscribers may want to prioritize those titles before they're gone.
