The One piece the anime is almost back after a good 3 month hiatus and fans can't wait to see Luffy and the gang back on screen. Hiatus aside, the return of the series is so hyped as the anime is finally starting to adapt the Elbaf arc. It's been one of the series' best arcs so far, and with the new production schedule and the promise of tighter pacing, more consistency, and better animation, it's looking great for One Piece fans.
But the new season isn't here yet, and fans looking forward to it will have to find something else to pass the time while they wait. These great series are the perfect way to entertain yourself while you wait One Piece's return.
One Piece Teases A New Devil Fruit Awakening in the Elbaf Arc
In Elbaf, a new Devil Fruit has awakened with a straw hat, and it could turn the tide in the war against Imu.
Gurren Lagann
You can always count on Studio Trigger to release visually stunning and interesting anime. Gurren Lagann is considered one of the studio's best series, and for good reason.
The iconic mecha series has some incredible action sequences and there is a lingering optimism in the series that One piece fans will love. It's only 27 episodes long and the pacing is solid enough that you can get through it pretty easily. It's the perfect series to enjoy while you wait One piece return.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is considered one of the best anime of the 2000s, and it's easy to see why. A more faithful adaptation of Hiromu Arakawa's manga than its predecessor, Brotherhood is a classic that still holds its own against some of today's biggest modern titles.
With incredible world-building and a strong main and supporting cast, Brotherhood is driven by the relentless will and bond shared by brothers Ed and Al as they set out to reclaim their bodies and atone for their past mistakes. The animation still holds up nicely and should serve both as an engaging first-timer and as a great rewatch for fans who already know the series.
Mob Psycho 100
From the same creator One-Punch Man, Mob Psycho 100 it often overshadows its predecessor. Although the two series share some similarities, Mob is its own thing that often stands out OPM when it comes to certain elements.
Mob Psycho 100 can be a really goofy series at times, but it also has amazing storytelling and a really well-rounded lead that's easy to support and fun to watch grow out of its shell. The series looks great, yes, but the real draw is Mob's journey, which comfortably takes less than 40 episodes.
Jujutsu Kaisen
Season 3 is coming to an end, now is the perfect time to check it out Jujutsu Kaisen if you haven't already. Not only will you get all caught up in the anime, but you can finish what was one of the biggest anime of winter 2026, just in time to jump into what will be the most talked about spring season has to offer.
The biggest draw to Jujutsu Kaisen for many, his stellar animation was. The series looks great, and MAPPA's unique style and smooth animation make it one of the best adaptations of 2020. This, in addition to one of the best modern anime power systems and a story that consistently delivers impressive, shocking moments, creates JJK must watch while waiting for One Piece to pick up.
Magi: The Labyrinth
Magi: The Labyrinth is one of those series that doesn't always enjoy the same popularity as some of the really popular shonen titles on a regular basis, but it definitely deserves to be highlighted when we talk about the best the genre has to offer.

Magi it really shines when it comes to its main trio of Aladdin, Morgiana and Alibaba. Each character gets their time to shine and gets some great moments to grow and develop. If you like magic in anime and are interested in exploring a setting that the medium doesn't often focus on Magi is definitely a series you should watch.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
Frieren When its first season came out in 2023, it took the anime world by storm, and with a strong second season, the series has solidified itself as one of the best anime around. With season 1 still worth 9.25 on MAL, Frieren became a massive hit with anime fans new and old.
Not only does the series look beautiful, with some amazingly animated action sequences and visuals that pop off the screen, but it also has amazing characters to carry an already strong story. It's a touching anime that manages to be both light hearted and incredibly emotional when it needs to be.
One-Punch Man
One-Punch Man is one of the funniest anime you'll watch and happens to have some awesome (albeit sometimes incredibly short) fight scenes thrown in for good measure. Saitama is one of the best modern shōnen protagonists, serving as the slayer of the many seemingly invincible villains the series presents to be anticlimactically brought down by our bald, monotone hero.
Season 3 of the anime has been watched by fans and has gone through a lot of online controversies, but the series is still entertaining. If you're looking for a funny anime with great to not-so-great action sprinkled throughout its run, One-Punch Man is a solid choice. Just temper your expectations after season 1.
