Solo leveling is one of the greatest anime of the modern era, thanks to the incredible action it contains and the protagonist whose charm keeps fans glued to their seats as it increases with each passing episode. Over time, the anime reached great heights thanks to the great adaptation. A lot of Solo leveling Fast-paced storyline and engaging battles are behind the success. That goes without saying Solo leveling it's interesting, but it's far from the best anime. These next series definitely do Solo leveling to defeat, either in conspiracy or in battle.
Jujutsu Kaisen
While Solo leveling was definitely a popular battle-oriented anime, it doesn't hold a candle Jujutsu Kaisen in this respect. Since its debut in 2021 Jujutsu Kaisen it was simply one of the most popular series ever. Jujutsu Kaisen has become one of the most successful franchises of 2020, blowing the competition out of the water with its story and intense battles revolving around wizards and curses. Jujutsu Kaisen is coming back soon with its Culling Game arc in January 2026.
Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
Solo leveling he always had a great rival Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. Both Solo Leveling and Frieren started around the same time and both were huge successes. Frieren's anime, like Solo Leveling, features flashy battles with incredible animation. However, while Solo Leveling lacks story, Frieren is shaped by it. Frieren follows the story of an elven mage with a very long life. Although she has never taken a deep interest in the lives of others, she eventually changes and wants to meet her friend Himmel again.
One piece
One piece is quite different from Solo leveling in almost every way. The anime features some awesome fights as well as Solo Leveling, but it was never the sole focus of the story. One Piece is plot-heavy and follows the adventures of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew through various arcs as he pursues his ultimate goal of becoming the Pirate King. The One Piece anime has improved significantly in quality in recent years and definitely stands out even among seasonal series.
Dragon Ball
Dragon Ball is the father of Shonen anime and manga. It might just be the most revolutionary series in the medium, and without Dragon Ball, the industry simply wouldn't be what it is today. Solo Leveling's Sung Jinwoo has had his fair share of battles, but none have surpassed the pinnacle of Dragon Ball fights.
Initially, Dragon Ball was about a kid named Goku searching for Dragon Balls. However, the series has evolved considerably over time, with powerful enemies and universe-shaking battles. Even after 40 years, the series still continues.
Naruto
Naruto is what some would call the pinnacle of Shonen, and might be the single most famous anime series worldwide. Naruto's story has captivated millions of people, and the main character's growth from a child to an adult, where he became the Hokage of the village, takes place in several hundred episodes of pure entertainment.
Naruto's battles are some of the best in animefar surpasses anything Solo leveling has yet issued. Naruto vs Pain or Sasuke vs Itachi, for example, remain some of the most iconic anime battles of all time.
If there is an anime series that fans would call perfect, it is none other than Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. For a while, this anime was the highest rated anime of all time, and the reason is clear. The characters are amazing, the story borderline flawless, and the anime itself is one of the best of its time.
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood follows the story of Edward Elric and his brother Alphonse Elric. After a forbidden transmutation in hopes of reviving their mother, everything goes wrong and Alphonse loses his body. The two then set out to find the Philosopher's Stone, hoping to undo what they had caused.
Attack on Titan
Attack on Titan became the anime that opened up the medium to millions of people who previously wouldn't have thought anime was for them. The series has definitely become iconic in this regard, thanks in large part to its terrifying story.
In Attack on Titan, humans live in one of three walls, but one day one of the walls falls and the Titans, man-eating giants, break through. After seeing his mother consumed in front of him, Eren, the main character, vows to kill all Titans. Attack on Titan's story and characters are definitely something that goes far beyond Solo Leveling.
