PlayStation 5 gamers will soon have a lot more games to play as at least eight higher profile titles are on board for February 2026. February seems to be busier every year when it comes to new game releases, and if the new PS5 games coming out next month are any indication, that pattern will continue.
The PS5 is the most popular video game console on the market right now, and for good reason. While it's been slow to get its own full-fledged exclusives, the PS5 has since built up an impressive library of titles with a Game of the Year winner Astro Bot under his belt and adding titles like Death Stranding 2: On the Beach and Ghost of Yotei to its exclusive line just last year. There aren't any pure PS5 exclusives coming out in February 2026, but there are still plenty of games to look forward to, including two titles released by arch-rival Xbox.

The first big new PS5 game for February 2026 will be released on February 5th in the form of Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined February 5th. Soulslike game Nioh 3 will be released for PS5 on February 6th as a console exclusive, and if its predecessors are any indication, it should be a fantastic addition to the console's library. Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is due out on February 12, with both High on Life 2 and Reanimate they are on board on February 13th. Xbox published action RPG Open comes out on PS5 on February 17th, with a colleague who came out on Xbox and beat them to the side scrolling Towerborne after him on February 26. Finally the much awaited one Resident Evil Requiem will be released for PS5 on February 27th.

When it comes to new PS5 games released in February 2026, there's a little something for everyone. Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined should prove to be a nostalgic throwback to the franchise's glory days Nioh 3 will give those looking for a gritty soul experience something new to embrace.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties is tasked with making one of the least popular Yakuza games better but it looks like it's coming out shaky. High on Life 2 should be a good sci-fi FPS and Reanimate from Little nightmares It looks like it will be great for horror fans looking for a co-op game.
The two Xbox games coming to PS5 in February are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Microsoft-owned games coming to PlayStation this year. But they should do a great job at launch, with PS5 players getting a chance to try out Obsidian Entertainment Open as well as Stoic's beat 'em up Towerborne.
The headliner when it comes to new PS5 games released in February 2026 is undoubtedly Resident Evil Requiem. Resident Evil Requiemaka Resident Evil 9will mix action horror Resident Evil 4 with the horror of survival Resident Evil 7 to create an entirely new experience for fans of the franchise. It looks incredibly promising and should prove to be one of the biggest new games of the year when all is said and done.
February 2026 is going to be an incredibly busy month for PS5 players and it will be exciting to see how all these new game releases pan out.
