Imu is the most powerful being in the One Piece series, ruling the world since the Void Century. Their authority is absolute, something not even the Gorosei can challenge. God Valley is one of the most chaotic events ever to happen in the series. All the big names of the time were present in it, and one of them was Whitebeard. During the stomach game of the native hunt that was going on, the Imu appeared, which shook the whole island. Not easily intimidated, the pirates fought back with a combination attack on Ima that barely hurt them. Later, Whitebeard faced Imu again alongside his crew members and eventually survived to fight another day.

14 years ago Harald ordered Loki to eat the legendary Devil Fruit of Elbaf and wasted no time in doing so. Once Loki ate it, he was able to easily overpower the Ima controlled Harald. This makes him one of the few to survive an indirect encounter with Imu. He later fought the Imu head-on in Elbaf and managed to freeze them.

The battle that followed was incredibly difficult and took every ounce of strength in their bodies. After that, they didn't even have the strength to get up. Instead they were carried to safety by Rayleigh and Gaban.
