RPG based parties are brightest when their companions are more than just combat support. Having a group of people with a clash of worldviews, difficult past and unpredictable chemistry adds a level of immersion that can only be obtained by imperfections and unexpected events. Many games have party systems where tension and camaraderie feel authentic and give every ally voice. This voice is the one that often disagrees with others and sometimes questioned the player's leadership directly. But thanks to this mess, players experience some of the richest dynamics of character throughout the genre.
