8 Strongest Demon Slayer Characters (Right Now)

Turn on the power Demon Slayer it has always been portrayed as something that is acquired through training, well, with only a few exceptions. This power gap between the characters becomes even more apparent during the Infinity Castle arc. Characters that were once only shown in small glimpses and hyped for years are finally being allowed to gain attention and show their true selves, and despite the colossal hype, there are others who are just beginning to demonstrate their potential. This list is limited to the power shown on the screen Endless castle part 1.

The various Hashira, such as Sanemi Shinazugawa, Obanai Iguro, and Mitsuri Kanroji, are firmly established as incredibly strong by this time, and arguably stronger than many of the heroes. However, the arc is not yet ready to show the extent of its abilities, so they cannot be considered higher characters who have already achieved indisputable results. Similarly, characters like Sanemi and Kokushibo are notorious for being terrifyingly powerful, but the Infinity Castle arc barely explored the full potential of the two. With that in mind, these rankings are what was demonstrated rather than what was promised.

There are several powerful demons present in the Demon Slayer anime. These characters are the most dangerous.

8

Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenit

Zenitsu's character development can be seen as the epitome of how the show develops characters through hardship. The Infinity Castle arc is finally getting rid of the version of itself that had to be fueled by fear or subconscious instinct. His presence is more boisterous, more concentrated, and far more deadly than ever. The arc presents him as a person who no longer hesitates when necessary, and above all with shocking self-confidence.

What's impressive about Zenitsu is that he's not overbearing, but rather precise and decisive, as he has a single goal, which is to defeat Kaigaku. The way he carries himself is a sign of control, clarity and composure that no one has ever experienced. Although a number of Hashirs clearly surpass him in pure fighting ability, Zenits growth in the film shows that he is no longer a hindrance or an occasional loose cannon. He earns this position by proving himself to be a true fighter in the toughest situations the show has ever brought.

7

Tanjiro Kamado

Tanjiro_accessing_the_Transparent_World_CH152-1

The power that Tanjiro has in the Infinity Castle arc is evident as soon as fans see his first fight with Akasa, even the Demon who called him weak and undeserving was surprised by his strength and how much Tanjiro has grown since their last encounter. His actions, reactions and decision-making are instinctive, as if fighting has become second nature. The film portrays him as someone who was able to keep up in situations where most fighters couldn't even react, even without direct control of the battlefield.

However, Tanjiro is clearly not yet ready to be on the same level as many of the Hashiros, perhaps even higher, as he is the only living one in the series to have unlocked the Transparent World yet. Although characters like Obanai or Mitsuri generally remain much more fleshed out and menacing, they are yet to show their true potential. His ranking suggests that he is currently a strong fighter, although his true ceiling may be much higher.

6

Muichiro Tokito

Muichiro Tokito in Demon Slayer

We hardly saw Muichira in action in the movie, but his performances were already shown in the series. The only Hashira to defeat the upper moon by himself is as commendable as any demon slayer can get, the whole reason why he is considered a prodigy in Hashira. Fans can once again see his calm and collective fighting style as he teams up with his master Gyomei and quickly slices through any demons unfortunate enough to cross their path.

What is most interesting is the natural way in which Muichiro can deal with threats that are very intimidating. He never feels threatened or outwitted, even in times of danger. Although his screen time is still too low for how many fans love him and want to see more of him, the previews provided strongly prove that he is stronger than most demon slayers who are older and more experienced.

5

Giyu Tomioka

Demon Slayer Infinity Castle success leads to a new movie solo leveling giyu

It is safe to say that the whole point Demon Slayer Endless castle part 1 centers around Giyu, the star of the show. Fans already knew Giyu was strong, but this strong? His gestures are precise, disciplined and without waste, which is a testament to many years of experience at the top. Giyu had already fought Akaza toe to toe, even though Akaza didn't take the fight seriously at first, but once Giyu knew what fighting was all about and unlocked his demon slayer mark, Giyu's only weakness was being human.

Survival and consistency are used as signs of Giyu's strength as opposed to more flashy fighters. He stands when all others fall; his defensive breathing style is completely accurate to his composure. Although not considered the most powerful Hashiro, his performance puts him in a comfortable position among rising prodigies such as Tanjiro and Muichiro, making him a stable member of the elite.

Home — Top position two

Demon-Slayer-Infinity-Castle-Home

Even though it is ranked at Upper Moon Two, the Infinity Castle arc has yet to show its full power in it. However, what is shown is very menacing and terrifying, and his story only adds to it as fans learn that Doma didn't become a demon to save himself, but to save others by consuming them, speaks of twistedness to the core. The very feeling of his presence is suffocating, and his demeanor suggests a degree of control and wickedness that goes far beyond brute force.

The hint in the arc is a lot about the reason why Doma rose so quickly. His fastidious eating habits and twisted mind are signs of huge untapped potential. However, with the achievements only presented so far, Doma has not proven to be on the same level as his higher peers.

3

Akaza — Upper rank three

Akaza from Infinity Castle arc attacking tanjiro

Akaza's power in the Infinity Castle arc is full and brutally evident. Every move has a purpose and every confrontation reinforces his position as one of the most menacing creatures in the entire series. Akaza's power is real and constantly tested unlike the others who have no limits.

What elevates Akazu is the extent to which she goes to convince elite opponents. His stamina, flexibility and unwillingness to give up in battles that seem insurmountable. The arc introduces him as a demon whose strength has been honed through endless battle and the disappointment of not being able to protect his loved ones, making him stronger and stronger, which is why he is ranked so high, even among monsters.

2

Gyomei Himejima

Gyomei-Himejima-Stone-Hashira-Featured (1)

Gyomei's role in the Infinity Castle arc can only be described as awe-inspiring. Each of these appearances reinforces the idea that he lives on a different plane than most Hashiro. His actions are not light; his blows seem to be devastating and his composure is never lost, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. With only one actual scene against Muzan so far, fans can already tell that he is the strongest Hashira alive at this point.

His brave fight with Muzan, although Muzan was weakened, is an achievement in that he was able to survive and play a significant role in such a battle, something that no other Hashira can do on the same level. His position in the Gyomei rankings shows strength and not reputation; the strongest human fighter of the current generation.

1

Muzan Kibutsuji

Muzan Kibutsuji in Demon Slayer

Even though he didn't fully display even a fraction of his power, Muzan was the undisputed pinnacle of power. The Infinity Castle arc portrays him as a big bad villain who can dominate the battlefield with his looks alone. Every interaction reinforces the idea that it is not enough to defeat him by force, but sacrifices must be made on a scale that is impossible to contemplate.

The scary aspect of Muzan is that very little has been revealed compared to the potential that is implied. He also controls the fight, pushing the mightiest of demon slayers to their extremes, even in his weakened state. Until its full power can be showcased, Muzan is at the top not because of the hype, but because there are no other competitors in the same field that can even match what has already been showcased.
