8 Swordsmen Better Than Roronoa Zoro

Known as the Pirate Hunter, Zoro is the Straw Hat Pirates' favorite swordsman and is also one of the crew's strongest fighters. Zoro has grown tremendously over the years One piece series, but has not yet reached its peak and his ultimate goal to become the world's greatest swordsman is still unfilled. Zoro may be close to him in power, but he has yet to surpass him.

Mihawk is called the strongest swordsman in the world, but his title is even more impressive One pieceand that's it Ryuma's blade god title. If Mihawk is the current strongest swordsman, then Ryuma was the strongest swordsman ever.

Zoro's target is Mihawk, but he may have to grow up and surpassing his own ancestor Ryumaeventually. Zoro could be known as the new blade god by the end of the year One piece.

Rayleigh

Rayleigh was part of the legendary crew of the Pirate King, the Roger Pirates. He is Zoro's parallel in Roger Piratesas both are one of the Wings of the Pirate King.

Despite his old age, Rayleigh is still a much better swordsman than Zoro. At this point, Zoro doesn't have much control over Haki and can't hurt immortals, while Rayleigh, even before his prime, was able to take them on.

Shanks

Shanks is at the moment the strongest Yonko from One Piece. His skills are on a whole other level and he accomplished all of this without a devil fruit.

Shanks is a swordsmanand may be below Mihawk in pure swordsmanship. But Shanks is a much more skilled fighter overall, especially when he masters the Rocks D. Xebca technique. He is one character that Zoro will probably never surpass.

Rocks is one of the greatest legends of the One Piece world. He's been a huge mystery since he was first mentioned, but was recently explored in more detail during the Elbaf flashback.

In this flashback, fans discovered that Rocks D. Xebec actually wielded a sword and Rocks displayed immense destructive power with this sword, being able to strike his enemies with hammer-like attacks.

Roger

The Pirate King

Roger is the most legendary man in One Piece who became the pirate king. He undoubtedly was one of the most powerful individuals with a sword in the story, though his fighting style was a bit more peculiar than people like Mihawk.

Like Rocks and Shanks, Roger uses his sword differentlyand does more crushing attacks than slashing. Roger is still on a completely different level than Zoro and he would definitely destroy him at this point.

Nusjura

One of the five old men

One of the strongest Imu, Nusjuro is one of the strongest swordsmen the world government has to offer. He is one of the Five Elders and seems to be the most skilled with a sword.

He and Zoro clashed briefly on Egghead and it was clear that Zoro was far outmatched. Zoro must first master his Conqueror's Haki to even stand a chance against this overpowering monster.
