Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is a narrative adventure of creative I think behind the original Life is weird. Fans of the previous work Don't Nod are likely to feel at home at Velvet Cove in Michigan. The setting of a small town is brilliantly revived with the cast of characters that overshadowed the overall conspiracy of the story. Although it turns out to be a very slow burns, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage He will probably keep players engaged with his moment to a moment of drama and entertainment.
Like Swann, the player embodies a teenage girl fighting with her identity and surroundings. Swann is interested in movies watching them, as well as filming some of his own. While she seems to have accepted she has no close friends, everything changes when she meets a group of girls who help her bounce bullying. It is this random moment of fate that changes her whole life.
Plot holds back characters
In 2022, Swann was brought back to the city where she spent her teenage years, but more specifically, 1995. She is asked to return to Velvet Cove by her autumn, which received a mysterious box addressed by their old band, Bloom & Rage. After reunification, women catch up while remembering the summer of 1995, which becomes a recurring topic. While old friends remember their promise that they never see each other, they are vague about the details of what happened in the summer. When they pass their steps, the player sees the world from the perspective of Swann and jumps between the present and the past.
Swann, Nora, Autumn and Kat have proven to be a dynamic group of faulty fans with whom they are likely to identify. Every girl manages to bring something special to the table, which turns out to be real magic Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. Swann is a stupid loner who tragically connects to a group of peers just months before he should move to Canada. When they knew what was ahead of us, the girls decided to make the most of their summer: playing punk rock music, finding secret hiding and digestion together as much time together. Swann starts to start from her shell and find her voice, something that seems to be infinitely pleased in the narrative.
Unfortunately, 1995 in Lost Records: Bloom & Rage It turns out that it is much more interesting than the present, where women sit in a bar collected around a mysterious package that brought them back together. Although it seemed to be very concerned about the content of the box and the consequences that could mean, they are satisfied with the fact that they want to face drinks, catch up and even play the pool without appearing, using it as a catalyst to refer to mysterious traumatic event. Even in the last moments of tape 1 there is no real hint of what can be in a box or its meaning in a greater narrative. At a time when the game reaches its moment, 2022 feels like an additional idea compared to the 1995 events, so much of the game felt uninteresting compared to. It is an experience that does not justify itself until the first set of role credits.
Collector's objects cause the world to feel alive
Fortunately, the world will feel as rich as his characters. References to the past tense are scattered everywhere and it is likely that it will be a nostalgic pleasure for anyone who is familiar with the era. Collector items are smoothly integrated into the game, which turns out to be an incredibly enriching experience. Instead of going through and collecting items, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage My players use Swann's video camera to capture moments in time. It can be anything from the conversation, to scenery or even animals. It is a pleasure to walk all over the world, soak in detail and heat with sounds. Lost Records: Bloom & Rage It is probably best experienced with a headset or in a quiet environment.
The camcorder itself is also an interesting device in the story. It can be used as a flashlight and as a way to display the world from another advantageous point. When using the screen, the grain quality with a square ratio, which seems to be looking for a viewfinder. If it is played on PlayStation 5, the DualSense controller even has some movement functionality that allows players to manipulate the camera in a unique way. Videasemer gives fans the opportunity to actually enter Swann shoes and experience the world through her eyes. Its integration of Don't Nod is one of the most satisfying parts of the game.
Supernatural is not that great
Something is cool in Velvet Cove, but Lost Records: Bloom & Rage It seems that he does not want a player in mystery. Initially, it could be easy to question whether supernatural events are indeed the excessive imagination of girls. However, some really strange things happened that require further explanations.
This is one of the areas where Lost Records: Bloom & Rage It becomes frustrating than entertainment, because the secrets feel too teasing. There is no breadcrumbs to follow the player in searching for answers, and this leads to the feeling that the characters have secrets that will not reveal, even though the player lives in Swann's shoes. Klete, rock music and blood contracts promise to pay, but its delay can lose the interest of players who are forced to pause between parts 1 and 2.
While Lost Records: Bloom & Rage's The first half is trying to create a new beginning and a new identity, still trying to climb out of the shadow Life is weird. Without seeing the whole picture, it is hard to know if it is possible to nod to pay many promises in the first half of the game. The choice of branches must still feel significant and the possibilities of dialogue do not feel as if they had real consequences.
Eventually, Lost Records: Bloom & Rage It turns out as an uneven experience where the characters are more interesting than the plot. With the final reversal that does not feel earned and cannot explain the greater secrets of the game, it is difficult to imagine that players are eagerly waiting for the other half of the story when they arrive on April 15. However, it is still possible that the rest of the title could continue to build their amazing characters and make juice for compression.
