To celebrate the recent launch of RPG Open, The Obsidian developer joined with a critical role and created a one -time table adventure set in living countries. The original story, which focused around a group of prisoners aboard a ship headed into dangerous and disaster land, presented actors including Anjali Bhimani, who plays Open companion Yatzli.
Game Rant talked to Bhimani about Ylva Ilendhe, the original character she developed and played in a one -time shot. Ylva, a refined Elf with the combination of organized crime, was a very different character than the cheerful and flirtatious yatzli. Bhimani portrayed Ylva next to Travis Willingham as Galen Divine, Sungwon Cho as Haspora Aumau, Whitney Moore as Lady Minette Orlan and Marisha Ray as Sabel Twarf. A one -time shot was DMed a regular critical role of Dungeon Master Matthew Mercer.

Access Avowed Open Zone is the best of both worlds
Like the outside worlds in front of him, Obsidian's Avowed contains an open approach to a level design, giving it the best of both worlds.
Ylva Ilendhe is an Elf with a criminal history
After hearing that the obsidian wanted to introduce a one -time shot to introduce many different races that appear Open, Bhimani chose Elf because despite her lifelong love Dungeons and DragonsIt's not the race she played. “Basically, I went with one thing I never played, which is surprisingly an elf,” she revealed.
While Ylva and Yatzli were very different in the race and behavior, one feature they shared was their skill in magic. Ylva served as one of the primary wheels of the party. “I really wanted to be someone who was brain for Brawn,” Bhimani explained. “She was very gloomy,” she said. The character had an impressive arsenal of magic, some less than the ideal dice that was troubled by Ylva and her player all night.
Ylva's connection with Haspor was a happy accident
Bhimani decided that Ylva would have a background in an organized crime when he would hear from Mercer that the characters would meet on board the prison ship. When she learned that the character of Sungwon Cho, Hasporo, also had a mafia, both actors decided to know their characters to know each other. However, the decision was quite at the last minute.
“If we are both in a family business, we probably knew each other or knew each other … but many of these things, especially with one -off shots, will decide very much at the last minute.”
In the end, the connection between them served as a source of humor during the game. Hasporo and Ylva have a secular attitude served as a foil to naive, less well -informed characters, such as Galen The Godlike, and especially Minette, who previously lived a protected life as a nobleman. The holding couple appeared as the band leaders and eventually took care of their companions despite their very different life experiences.
Disposable characters would fit well into Avowed companions
Bhimani had a lot of time to participate in one shot and felt his characters would fit well Avowed's Companants: Kai, Marius, Yatzli and Giatta. In particular, she felt that Sabel, a dwarf Texan, played by Marisha Ray, would become an excellent accessory at the party. Sabel could be a “crime partner” Yatzli, who serves as a light voice of comic relief among her companions. Minette, she felt, could learn a lot from Yatzli, who would like to help the protected Orlan learn more about himself and the world.
The actress said she would also love the chance to portray Yatzli in the desktop environment. Quote considerable disposable shots made by cast Baldur's Gate 3, She said that a similar adventure for Giatta, Yatzli, Marius and Kai would be very fun. “It's just like a natural development to do it,” she said. “But that's the fine people in Obsidian!”
