Capcom's chain of recent residently evil remake not only reworks gaming; Reimagine also connects the key elements of the story and coherently combine series. For example, in the remake RE3 it turned out that Nemesis was created using the Las Plagas virus from RE4, directly bridging the gap between the games. Re4 remodel this connection, while Luis is now part of a team that formed Nemesis.
Because of these narrative improvements, both games feel less discontinuous and more natural. But it also creates several contradictions, like Leon Kennedy fighting the U-3 in the original, but not in a remake. Yet, somehow, somehow both The versions of each game are Canon according to a renowned escape and the insidered dusk of Golem, who claimed that while fans tend to wait for the originals and remodel as in separate timelines, “Capcom does not take into account at all.”
Capcom's hand on Re Canon is sometimes loosey-goosey. Key events, characters' deaths, data, bows, etc. are all canon and maintained quite consistent. However, the specifics are kept blurred and until fans are interpreted.
This means that Jill Valentine visits RPD and no; Nemesis first attacks Jill in his apartment, but also a police station she never visited; And Brad Vickers is killed by zombies, even though he also died with his hands Nemesis. Meanwhile, the original Resident Evil 4 sets up a conspiracy that never leads nowhere: Jack Krauser works in Illuminados's cult with Albert Wesker to resurrect the umbrella. The remake completely abandoned this conspiracy, and instead Krauser devoted himself to Illuminados, with a personal vendet against Leon, who even sees a reference dark chronicles.
It is impossible to align all these changes, because so many of them are in contradiction, but as Dusk explained Golem, wide moves remain the same. This means that you decide which specifics you prefer: Brad dies of zombies or Nemesis; Krauser works with Wesker, or he just left it for Leon; Jill was attacked in her house or on Raccoon City. Either way, Brad dies, Krauser is defeated and Jill's move with a tyrant is moved.
Capcom also considers Resident Evil Revelation as the main game
Another interesting snipper that Dusk Golem revealed in terms of Capcom's view of Canon Resident Evil Canon, is where he states contributions as apparitions. While these were originally conceived as smaller bindings, they explained what characters like Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield were between games, and presented as less powerful hardware, such as 3DS, are now reported to be important as numbered records.
“All numbered” main line “items are a canon,” he explained. […] Spin-offs are the basis of case by case, canonical are:
-
Survivor
-
Survivor 2
-
Dead goal
-
Infection
-
File outbreak 2
-
Umbrella chronicles
-
Chronic darkside
-
Umbrella
-
Resistance
Gaiden, Re: Verse, Operation Raccoon City, Mobile Games, etc., are not considered a canon. ”
So the next time you sit on the marathon of a bad evil resident (which, let's be honest, I'm sure many of us do after Requiem's revelation), don't forget to include revelation. The couple together with the Veronica code are in the heart of the numbered game.
