Learn to fall in love with the greatest game of survival

Vintage story is a newly found obsession. If you have never heard of it, I totally understand: She's a pretty specialized Minecraft, who is currently not available on Steam. You can only buy it from the old school website and from the moment you click on the purchase and press the download button, it's like two decades back in time.

The original Minecraft was also purchased in this way, which gives the vintage story its own sense of unique nostalgia.

Vintage Story is also worlds far from Microsoft Corporate-Coded Minecraft in many other respects. It has a steep, steep learning curve and is less forgiven than Minecraft. The first thing you have to do is catch some flint from the ground and then beat the flint with another stone to create a flint knife. You are doing this voxel from Voxel. Each individual fragment of flint must be formed by hand. It is absorbing, although I understand why it may not be for everyone.

But it's definitely for me.

I thought Minecraft was cozy until I looked at all post-apocalypse

Zombie Apocalypse, nuclear disasters and the very end of time – Minecraft Lore is one rabbit hole of Helud.

What is a vintage story? And why is it the biggest game of survival?

Vintage Story is a survival based on a voxel developed by a small team known as Anego Studios. It is clearly inspired by Minecraft and I often thought he would get used to the game mechanics, that it was what Minecraft could be if Mojang went in another way. Somewhere along the way Minecraft lost some of this magic.

I thought it could be with the genre, or that I was just getting old and the survival games based on the voxel were for children; But vintage story this feeling completely blows from the water.

Her characters talk to the notes of classic instruments (my character sounds like an oboe), there are cosmic horrors that come out of emptiness, merchants wandering on the ground, and the possibility of blocking the chisels individually into their 1×1 segments to get perfect looking Chimney. This world is a pleasure to explore and always so wonderful to see.

As you proceed, you will move from the Stone Age, to the age of ceramics, to iron and later steel age, all in further examination, deeper and modernization of your facility. It is a classic playing loop, but filled with the level of detail that blocks the mind.

I just like how the ceramic system works: you have to shape the molds on the floor of small dirt and then fire them in the furnace. You can make molds and fill them with molten copper – but be careful, be sure to pick up the forms with a pair of wooden pliers, otherwise your character will cause some damage.

Industry, excellent vibration, leakage with atmosphere

Do not worry, but you will not do everything manually forever – build a windmill and use it to draw the wheels of industry, with sophisticated metal production and food production. Even later, you can take advantage of the power of bizarre magic to strengthen your world … I haven't reached this point yet, but I'm getting close.

In principle, the vintage story feels like a strongly mounted Minecraft with more sophisticated technology trees, more granular buildings and a more interesting world with excerpts tradition here and there, providing you with a certain context about what is happening.

And the vibrations are absolutely immaculate.

The hunts Dirt Hut is the first night classic in these types of games, but it has never felt as cozy and comfortable as in Vintage Story. What is worth it is like four or five different types of impurities that you can do, which means that even your starting cottages can resemble something more beautiful than a pile of Minecraft rectangular sludge.

The vibrations of the vintage story are just amazing. The soundtrack is perfect and seems to be perfect for the world you inhabit, graphics (sunlight, distant mountains), lighting (flashing torches), sound design (changing rain when you walk under the trees) and the fact that you can tilt objects against walls to create a more natural layout for your home…

I am not used to the game completely inhabiting my soul like this. Especially not survival games that always seem to be a chip from the second block. The vintage story is strongly inspired by its contemporaries, but it goes far for what you expect for the first time when you take these preliminary steps into the desert.
