Laraian Studios has recently released a surprising update of the community and introduced some interesting Baldur's Gate 3 statistics for the eternally curious gaming base of the game. For example, 4,647 players completed the honor mode on the first level and the others have shamed us.
This is certainly a rare act, but not as rare as the unclear end for Wyll, which has managed only 598 players over the last two years. “598 players adopted a child with Wyll. N'aw,” reads one of the images in a community update.
Parenting, for the price
This refers to a specific end for Wyll and the character of a player who the rule of the border blade. To achieve this end, you will have to encourage Wyll to follow the traces of your father and become the Duke of Baldur's gate after the defeat of the Dragon Ansur in ACT 3.
Then in the epilogue you will be able to start a dialogue with Wyll about your new adopted daughter Lily Auror Ravengard. As the story continues, as Wyll rises to become the leader of the Baldur Gate, a crying child with a heterochromy outside the temple with an open hand appears. The followers of the temple who see a child with one gray eye and one brown eye took it as a sign and convened Wyll.
“Your soul warms up thinking about Lily Auror Ravengard, your adoptive daughter. The girl's treasure found at the entrance to the temple with an open hand – one gray eye, one brown,” describes the narrator in the epilogue. “The crying of God's believers thought it was a sign. They called Wyll the next day.”
“Oh, the girl could melt the heart most,” Wyll replied. “Maybe she even brought a smile on the face of Old Withers. But this evening is for us – and Lily is only four months of age. I promise to keep her in good care.”
Unfortunately, this adoption is based on both Wyll and the player's character remains in the Baldur's gate. This means that neither of them is available to Karlach to Avernus, so it will die without repairing its hell engine. This is one of the reasons why the above end is so rare, because many players will drop everything to help Karlach because he is a popular and esteemed companion.
The only way to accept Lily Auror and let Karlach survive is if the other one becomes a Flayer mind against Netherbrain. Unfortunately, this path for Karlach leads to a slow deletion of its identity, which is a completely different kind of tragic fate for taifling.
