The original Sonic The Hedgehog has been re -released in volumes and collections so many times that they remain playable even on the latest platforms and consoles. But even the sound fans who are old enough to play them on their original hardware would not experience them – on a small sound arcade machine.
My arcade teased its Sonic The Hedgehog Joystick Players early this year and showed it to the participants of CES 2025 in January. Since then, the project has more or less radio silence, although even now, a mini arcade machine may not be quite ready for you to buy for you, even though pre -orders will take place.

Frack's Sonic Deals shared good news this week that the mini arcade cabinet, which contains the playable versions of Sonic Hedgehog and Sonic The Hedgehog 2, was available on Amazon. Even better, Joystick player was awarded $ 59.99Which seems quite sensible for something like that. However, the Cabinet pre -ordering site seems to have been quickly removed.
All of this almost certainly means that pre -orders will live and stay so early, so if you want, check back.
Among the shared images and the amount of time that has passed since its revelation, it is a bit strange that the cabinet is not available now, although its release date is not later in the year or even at the beginning of 2026. This could mean that cabinet creators plan to open pre -orders for Sonic Joystick, along with other mini cabinets that have other iconic SEGA games.
The Mini Arcade Machine Sonic has a control panel that consists of a joystick and three buttons, as well as the Sega Genesis controller. Well, not just as a genesis controller, because it's a joystick and not a d-pad, but you know what I mean. The Shell Cabinet is covered with art that could camouflags if you place it inside the Green Hill First Sonic zone, although the big sonic on the side and the Sega logo could put it away.
As mentioned above, only the first two sound games are playable to Joystick players, but they are the best two, so what do you complain about? Because it seems to be the beginning of a longer relationship between sega and my arcade, in the future we can see a subsequent mini cabinet with Sonic 3 and Knuckles loaded. Just as I love all four games to be in this first edition, the corresponding cabinet decorated in works of art from two games that complete Sonic's Genesis Quadrilogy sounds very attractive.
