Online shooters are not known to support the best communities. Frankly, sometimes it is actually more productive to turn off the chat and focus on playing the game so that you do not get to fight for who is the mistake of losing. But even so, one of the things you can call during these heated exchanges is “noob”. In fact, I don't think I've seen it used for at least ten years.
Despite this, one player overwatch 2 says they were forbidden using the word. Reddit User Content_tadpole2299 shared e -mail from Blizzard, who said that permenatly was forbidden overwatch 2 for the fact that “noob”, “,”, and “value” that is quite a drastic step. Even Blizzard agrees that it was a bit now a bit, and canceled the ban.
Looks like Overwatch 2 allows you to say “noob” again
The Blizzard message is short and sweet and tells us that we can now “say noob”. Personally, I did not test it myself, so I suppose we will have to wait and see if it is. I assume that if you eventually prohibit yourself, you can link this post if you try to appeal for a ban.
It was said with that, it is good to see how Blizzard tried to reduce toxicity in its community. It has been some time since I dared Overwatch 2 (I apologize, Marvel Rivals won me) and I remember that the text chat was used almost exclusively to attack himself after he was remotely wrong. Even with a quick game, things would become ugly.
In any case, content_tadpole2299 confirmed that they were canceled, so it seems that Blizzard does not think you should lose the right to play Overwatch 2 forever to say “noob”. But we probably don't push it best – let's be all nice to each other, okay?
