Deus former fans want Nightdive Studios to be the one who passed the original

One of the surprising announcements of the state of this week was Deus Ex Remastered, the remaster of the legendary absorbing SIM from the Ion Storm.

But just like everyone, they loved to hear the iconic topic of the title of the game, the reaction to the trailer announcement was negative. The wavy, surrealist UPSCALED textures concern fans and have a significant criticism of updated character models.

Aspyr, a studio that almost exclusively remaster or Ports games is responsible for remastering deus ex. Star Wars: Battlefront Classic Collection, Kotor 2 and Tomb Raider IV-VI are some of the recent Remaster projects.

Unfortunately, for Aspyr, Nightdive Studios has gained a reputation in the absorbing SIM community and the fans immediately got their hopes that Nightdive was a reworking studio when the announcement began.

The Nightdive Studios is responsible for removing the system shock and the remastering system Shock 2, which are very highly appreciated by classic absorbing SIM fans.

This collective fan of Hope caught the attention of the main developer of the Nightdive engine, Samuel Villareal. The answer to the account he called Aspa's remaster “crazy ugly” and said, “We were robbed of a touch of Nightdive,” Villareal said, “One could only introduce.”

It is clear that Villareal and probably night surprise as a whole wanted to transform the renowned absorbing SIM. Nightdive was founded in 2012 because the founder of the Stephen Kick studio could not buy a copy of System Shock 2.

Kick bought the right to shock the system from the insurance company that gained them when Glass seemed to have been extinct. The comprehensive remake of systemic shock and remaster System Shock 2 is proof of the love that the studio has for early absorption SIMS, and fans of the genre recognize it.

Nightdive has recently worked with Bethesda and ID Software on Remaster Doom and Doom 2, so cooperation with Eidos Montreal on Deus Ex was not excluded. However, because Aspyr and Eidos Montreal are owned by the Embracer Group, the former was a natural choice for remaster.

Deus Ex Remastered will go on February 5, 2026. It will cost $ 30.
