Pokemon Legends: ZA it came out just a few days ago and has already divided the fan base with some polarizing new features and lack of traditional ones, or even its sometimes buggy or bad gameplay. WITH Pokemon Legends: ZA Since it's been bombarded with reviews, it's no wonder there are some unhappy fans, whether it's because some of the shiny Pokémon are practically uncatchable when they disappear or the game's lengthy tutorial. The game is clearly not for everyone, and another part of the population may be upset to find that Mega Steelix and Scizor are almost unobtainable.
Pokemon Legends: ZANew Mega Evolutions can be post-game rewards in some cases, for example Pyrorite and Malamarite can only be purchased with Mega Shards after you beat the game and get Mega Zygarde. While this doesn't make much sense, it gets worse for fans of some of the most popular Megas. Mega Steelix and Scizor have always been some of the most popular Megas in the series, but Pokemon Legends: ZA he doesn't give them much love for several reasons:
-
Scyther is only available in Pokemon Legends: ZA's Wild Zone 13, which unlocks after Mission 14.
-
Onix is only available in Wild Zone 14, which is unlocked after Mission 19.
-
There is no Link Cable in the game, meaning Scyther and Onix must be swapped out while holding the Metal Coat to evolve.
-
Metal Coats are available indefinitely after the game, but before that players must be A rank (mission 35) to unlock the side missions that grant one (Steadfast as Steel and A Feather from Skarmory).
-
In order to trade with other players, you must pay for a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
-
There are no reported instances of wild Steelix or Scizor in the game yet, which means they may only be for trade.
-
You cannot transfer past versions of Steelix or Scizor to Pokemon Legends: ZA.
For all these reasons, it's obvious that Mega Steelix and Scizor aren't really easy to come by and might be the last Pokemon one gets – if at all. This is especially bad considering how early Steelixit and Scizorit can be obtained.
Pokemon Legends: ZA makes getting Steelix and Scizor unnecessarily difficult
Since a lot of the game's content is timed after completing story missions, it's no surprise that Onix and Scyther aren't early catches, or that Metal Coat is hard to come by. However, it makes very little sense to have Steelixite and Scizorite immediately available in Stone Emporium, while Metal Coat is an endgame item and unlocking Steelix and Scizor requires trading in the first place.
Shiny Mega Steelix and Scizor are practically impossible to get in Pokemon Legends: ZA
In addition, shiny Pokémon Pokemon Legends: ZA it can be more difficult to trade, meaning fans who want a shiny Mega Steelix or Scizor will find it even harder to get their hands on. This is because they need to find teammates who have met all the necessary conditions to get Steelix and Scizor and have an NSO subscription, and they also need to look for a shiny evolution trade.
It is true that they exist Pokemon Legends: ZA trade codes now to make things easier, but without chat and random people joining the shop, it's incredibly hard to find someone willing to trade a shiny Onix or metal-coat Scyther. This is a very strange move for Game Freak, and it's unclear why Mega Steelix and Scizor in particular got the short end of the stick.
