Pistol in Battlefield 6 they aren't as valuable as in some previous games, but if you ever need to defend yourself when your primary weapon is useless, you can always count on these weapons to give you a fighting chance.
Good thing about the pistols inside Battlefield 6 is it they don't require a lot of time investment to be useful. They're perfectly usable by default, and since most players won't be using handguns as their primary weapons, we've ranked each of the game's pistols based on how reliable they are out of the box.
The best gun in Battlefield 6
- M44 Rex
- M45A1
- P18
- ES 5.7
There are four pistols Battlefield 6 at the time of starting the game and from the available options M44 Rex is probably the best to use for situations that require a sidearm. The rest work well (albeit with their own caveats), but the M44 is easily the deadliest of them all when it comes to dealing with a close-quarters emergency across all BF6 maps.
M44 Rex
This gun is a revolver and if you played the past Battlefield games that had similar weapons, you already know what to expect. The M44 blasts targets up to 15 meters for a whopping 60 chest damage and 90 head damage, meaning no matter where you hit, you'll take down the target in just two shots. If you manage to level this pistol to rank 24, you can equip it Hollow point appendix to increase headshot damage up to 105guaranteeing an instant kill.
Of course, the main disadvantages of the M44 are its ammo capacity, rate of fire, and high skill level relative to other pistols. You absolutely need to aim well when using this weapon, as missing a single shot can send you back to the respawn screen. However, hitting targets within 15 meters isn't that difficult in practice, and if you can land a clean headshot with hollowpoints equipped, you can beat players with even the best weapons. BF6 (including shotguns).
M45A1
The M45A1 is the bridge between the M44 Rex and the rest of the pistols. At very close range, it can kill enemies with 3 chest shots, making it very deadly when enemies jump at you. That lethality drops to 4 shots per kill at 20 meters, which is still pretty impressive for a semi-auto pistol.
The only problem with the M45A1 is magazine size. It only has a 7-round magazine by default, which can be expanded to 11 rounds once you reach rank 9 with the weapon. Like the M44, you'll struggle with this gun if you like to spam your shots, but if you learn how to move around, you'll get more value out of this gun.
P18
The P18 isn't particularly special. It's average at best, although that's all one really needs in a pistol. His rate of fire is quite fast, he has good hipfire accuracy and can kill opponents with 4 chest shots at very close range. The P18 will get the job done more often than not, and unlike the previous two pistols, this one doesn't require much skill to use.
If you really don't care much about using the best gun in BF6then the P18 is more than enough to cover you. Just place an extended magazine and a laser sight on it and you can go wherever you are.
ES 5.7
The ES 5.7 is the complete opposite of the M44 and M45A1. Instead of accuracy, this gun is best used when spamming directly into the enemy's chest. It has virtually no recoil, making follow-up shots extremely easy to hit, and with a base 20 magazine, you can afford to miss your shots without running out of ammo that quickly.
Unfortunately, the ES 5.7 has the lowest damage value of any pistol in the game. While it makes up for this by having the fastest rate of fire, it's still the slowest killing secondary weapon Battlefield 6and even within the ideal range of exposure. This pistol is marked as a mid-range weapon, so keep that in mind the next time you're forced to pull this pistol out at close range.
