How to complete the Ancient Battery Fort puzzle in Arc Raiders

If you want to increase the quality of your equipment during a raid Arc Raiderthen you'll eventually want to get to The Blue Gate map. The most challenging map currently available, this ending-style map not only offers a plethora of challenging ARC enemies and terrain, but also several small puzzles that reward you upon completion.

One of them is located in an ancient fortress and requires the player to find three hidden batteries to power a locked cellar door. While it sounds simple on paper, finding batteries can be a bit of a headache if you don't know where to look. Here's what you need to know to quickly complete this puzzle and get some solid loot!

Puzzle where to find the ancient fortress

You can find the Ancient Fort puzzle in the interesting location of the Ancient Fort on the Blue Gate. In the southeast part of the map, players will have to get all the way down here to find a large stone structure. On the east side of the fort you will find the door to the cellar which is currently locked with three cables exiting it. This is where all the loot is locked, so don't forget this place as you run around.

Fortunately, the Ancient Fort is pretty out of the way, so there's a decent chance you won't run into a lot of ARC enemies outside of Wasps, Hornets, and Snitches. Additionally, either a Leaper or a Bombadeer will appear in the town northwest of the fort, so try to stay away from them!

How to complete the ancient fortress puzzle

To unlock the cellar, you will need to find three batteries and transfer them to three different electrical boxes. These batteries are roughly the size of the field crates you've almost certainly come across and cannot be stored in your inventory. Carrying a battery will drastically slow your movement, store your weapons, and drain your stamina quickly if you try to run with it.

You will need to bring three different batteries for each electrical box. These are located:

• Right along the southernmost wall of the fort.
• On the second floor of the tower inside the fortress.
• On the second floor of the fortress on the north side.

The position of these electrical boxes never changesand you'll know when you're getting close to it because it'll glow bright blue if you approach it with a battery. They will also be opened at an angle so they are easy to spot.

All ancient fortress battery locations

When it comes to actually finding batteries, they will be located both in and around the fortress. The main way to tell where the battery might appear is that there will be a very obvious wooden pallet on the ground for the battery to launch on. Now the palettes will stay there regardless of whether the battery has appeared or not, but it's a good visual reminder to look for when you're looking for them.

In my testing, I discovered twelve potential locations for the batteries. There may be more, but I have yet to encounter this puzzle where I couldn't find all the batteries in the designated locations. Note that only three batteries will spawn, so be careful when checking each individual spot.

Battery 1		This battery is situated along the south-west road which skirts the fort.
Battery 2		You can find this battery along the northern road that leads down into town.
Battery 3		You can find this battery inside a ruined house to the northwest of the fort, just before you go into town.
Battery 4		This battery is located in the northern, ruined house between Ancient Fort and Broken Earth.
Battery 5		This battery is inside the ruins of the house that is southeast of the fort by the zipline. It will be on top of the generator.
Battery 6		You can find this battery inside the fortress, inside the room with all the breakable containers along the south wall.
Battery 7		This battery is in a ruined house directly north of the fort before you go down into the town below.
Battery 8		You can find this battery southwest of the fort inside a ruined house.
Battery 9		This battery is east of the fort inside the destroyed house with all the satellite dishes around.
Battery 10		A battery can also appear at the very top of a tower in a fortress.
Battery 11		Another possible spawn is behind the rusted, white car that is southwest of the fort.
Battery 12		The last possible spawn is directly west of the keep inside the destroyed building.

Once you've gained access to the cellar, take the ladder down to the basement and enjoy your loot. Along with the gun case, you'll find several items with an electrical and medical focus. Advanced electrical components also appear on top of computers, so check them out before you leave! Remember that the basement has only one entrance, so make sure no raiders are waiting for you before you start looting.
