Enemy Types New Players Still Underestimate (at Your Own Risk)

ARC Raiders is a very different kind of extraction shooter that puts much more emphasis on the environmental aspects of PvPvE. Robot enemies of the game Scattered across Topside are anything but cakewalks, with many more deadly than an entire group of raiders. Still for new playerstheir power can be difficult to gauge without facing them, resulting in many deaths thanks to them underestimating their power.

It may seem overwhelming at first, but with enough knowledge, these terrifying ARCs can become quite trivial. Some have very distinct weaknesses that can be easily exploited, while others have specific strategies that can make fights much easier. Even with these techniques in mind, these enemies should always be respected, as players can find themselves back in Speranza without any hard-earned loot in no time.

Rocketeers

It's raining hell from the sky

ARC Raiders Rocketeer

Rocketeers they are one of the deadliest ARCs in the entire game and time and time again players underestimate how powerful they can be. The bloodiest bot in Server Slam, Rocketeers, can be incredibly problematic when encountered in the wild. Not only are they incredibly fast, they're also ruthless, and their damage is high enough to take down players with just a few rockets, forcing them to seek cover inside or risk falling.

The reason many players underestimate how hard Rocketeers are to deal with is that they can be comfortable taking out individual Wasps or even Hornets with little to no problem, so when they see another flying enemy, many assume that a few well-placed shots will be enough to knock them out of the sky. In fact, their entire bodies are heavily armored, meaning that many low-level weapons will be virtually useless for penetrating and doing any significant damage. As such, new players should pick their fights carefully and come back with some stronger weapons and some higher level grenades before taking on these flying enemies.

Pop

Save those bullets

Pop ARC Raiders

Pop are seemingly weaker enemies that players will encounter ARC Raidersyet their fragile exterior hides some deadly explosives that can easily ruin any Raider's day. Pops are located in many of the larger structures around the maps and patrol for intruders, quickly turning red at the sight of nearby players who get too close. Once they're agroed, it's only a matter of time before the Pops run and explode in a burst of fire, dealing massive damage and burning anyone nearby.

They're usually not that big of a problem, since they don't have an armored exterior and can be taken out with just a few shots from pretty much any weapon. However, if they manage to slip past the player's bullets or catch them charging, the damage the pops do can put a significant hole in their health or even kill them outright. Newer raiders must be careful when entering any building; if they're not careful, one explosion could spell their end.

Wasps

Deadly in numbers

ARC Raiders Wasp

Wasps they are the most common enemies players will encounter on Topside, but their abundance says nothing about their overall strength. Usually flying around looking for lone raiders, Wasps often roam in groups or may be accompanied by a larger ARC like the Hornet, making it difficult for players to engage. Still, even on their own, Wasps can be quite problematic as they can quickly target players and deal a lot of damage even when under fire.

What makes Wasps even more deadly is how difficult they are to hit. Even if they are down with a jet and smoke in the sky, they will continue their pursuit and continue the onslaught of bullets. Many new players may also instinctively run inside to heal or avoid Vos attacks, not knowing they can fly through doors or windows. This means that no matter where players are, they need to keep their wits about them, as a single Wasp can easily float by and deliver the finishing blow to a weakened Raider.

Leapers

No distance is too far

ARC Raiders Leaper-1

Leapers they are quite scary and can be seen on all maps ARC Raidersthey walk around like mechanical spiders and watch for any movement in the area. Players who have just picked up the game may spot one from afar and try to fire missiles to weaken them or test their weapons, but this could quite easily be their last mistake. With seemingly no effort, Leapers can jump 100 meters both horizontally and vertically to cover a distance quickly.

They suffer from a very simple size that prevents them from entering virtually any structure, no matter how small. However, in the open they can aggro from a long distance and once they see a player they will jump and run until nothing is left standing. Due to their reasonably large health reserves, players are advised to return with a better load of grenades and weapons before attempting to take down the Leapers, as without the right set of equipment, ammo stocks can run dry, leaving players defenseless against the Leaper's relentless attacks.

Sentinels

Heavy damage from any distance

ARC Raiders Sentinel

Sentinels they are fairly rare in the grand scheme of things and are only found in certain places in some of the warmer areas on the maps. They act as sniper turrets that scan the area for raiders looking for loot, and can deliver a huge blow from a long distance when a missile is launched. They aren't much of a threat up close, as players can easily take cover to avoid their shots, and their health pool isn't large enough to require a large ammo investment either.

However, if new players are unaware of what Sentinel's laser means or choose to ignore it completely, they will quickly regret it and feel the full force of the ARC attack. Since they can only spin and not actually move, players shouldn't have a problem finding a nice angle to take cover and take them out, but they should stay careful before they're safe, as a single sniper shot can be enough to heal them. It can even alert nearby players who are more than happy to clean up an injured raider and take their loot.
