Instructions for fighting the Earth Fiend diet
Before you challenge the Earth Devil Deity, it is highly recommended to get Cloud Step Mystic Art first. Outside of combat, Cloud Step lets you jump easily, but in combat, you'll jump on top of an enemy's head and deal some damage and defeat enemies with Unstable Poise. You can get Cloud Step via Echoes in the Shrine side quest in General's Shrine in Qinghe.
Earth Fiend Diety will primarily attack by leaping at you with claws out, occasionally burrowing underground before quickly reappearing to hit you when you least expect it. Timing your parry and dodge is more important than ever for this fight, so watch the boss's attacks closely to shorten the timing.
One of Earth Fiend Deity's most dangerous attacks is also its most punishable. The boss will start rolling aroundhe repeatedly hits you with his body. This attack has the potential to deal tons of repeated damage. However, you can too parry every single strike of the attackcausing the boss's Qi meter to decrease by a lot.
This is even easier if you have Deflection assistance allowed as it will be automatically parry every attack strike.
The boss's most dangerous attack consists of swirling sand around the arena, attract you to it. After a few seconds, the boss will perform an attack around him, dealing massive damage in an area and most likely disposable you. To prevent this, use Cloud Step to knock down the boss and make it vulnerable for a few seconds.
When the boss yells 'underground'sooner it sinks underground it shoots into the air and then hits yourepeat it several times in a row. It's important to time your parry or dodge correctly, as you can easily get into the dodge loop too late and then get hit by the next hit.
If the boss digs underground without a voice linewill instead it will reappear right at your place before jumping on your head and slashing you. This attack can be hard to avoid, so be ready to dodge when the boss goes underground.
Earth Devil Deity will also occasionally cloak yourself in a toad spiritperforming crunches on you. Parry just before the boss hits the ground to ward off an attack.
Overall, the Earth Fiend Deity is on the easier end of the World Bosses, but it will still take some practice to time the dodges and parries to his more erratic attacks. If you're having trouble, consider lowering the difficulty or inviting other players to help you.
