Genshin Impact revealed the full content in its developer live stream for version 6.2, marking the debut of key characters like Alice and Nicole, as well as the introduction of the Hexerei Rite. While version 6.2 won't feature a new map expansion, it will come with one of the most interesting changes to the game since the launch of Natlan: skill set upgrades for some of the oldest characters in Genshin Impact.
nicknamed the Hexerei Rite, Genshin Impact players will be able to take a quest line to upgrade certain characters from Mondstadt. This series of quests will be tailored to each character. Some power-ups are stand-alone power-ups, such as Venti and Klee, while others only take effect after pairing two Hexerei characters. Version 6.2 will also introduce Durin Genshin Impact as a playable character and like his sibling Albedo will also be part of the Hexerei.

Redemption codes
The live stream was hosted on Twitch and YouTube by an official Genshin Impact account and, among other things, also revealed that players will be able to unlock an alternate skin for Durin by completing his Story Quest. Players will be able to root for Durin in the first half of the Event Banners, where he will appear alongside Venti and Jahoda, while the second half will feature Varesa and Xilonen. Unfortunately, there won't be a Chronicled Banner in Mondstadt Genshin Impact during version 6.2.
In addition to his Hexerei supporters, Venti will debut a new Signature Weapon in version 6.2: The Daybreak Chronicles. Unlike his previous Signature Weapons, The Daybreak Chronicles is created with the Venti hypercarry in mind and will appear on the Weapons Banner in Genshin Impact during the first half of version 6.2. The upcoming patch will also feature a Hexerei selector that will allow players to obtain a copy of Fischl, Sacrose, or Razor by completing the Witch's Coursework, a series of quests associated with the Hexerei Rite.
It remains to be seen if the Hexerei ceremony is a precursor to other Mondstadt characters (or even Liyue) receiving the glow, but it definitely means HoYovere is considering the idea. The flagship event for version 6.2 will take place in Natlan and will give players a free 4-star bow for engaging in its minigames. Liben should also make an annual appearance in 6.2, teasing Dornman Port as an upcoming map expansion in Genshin Impact. Although not explicitly confirmed by the developers, rumors point to Dornman Port being the main zone in version 6.4. Fans can expect version 6.2 to launch on December 3rd, 2025.
