One Piece's The Elbaf arc saw the straw pirates continue their epic adventure in the land of giants, and it goes without saying that it's been absolutely incredible so far. Elbaf was full of surprises and unexpected events. When we went to Elbaf, hardly anyone expected to see Oda fully immerse herself in the God Valley via Loki's flashback. God Valley has taken several chapters and has now reached its conclusion the death of Rocks D. Xebec and the sinking of the island.

SBS's new One Piece made a major revelation regarding Straw Hat Pirate Franky's father.
God Valley was absolutely massive for many characters One piece the world, and that includes Money D. Dragon. Dragon, the son of the naval hero Garpa, played a key role in God Valley and he was one of the few Marines who tried to do what was right. God Valley exposed the dragon to the barbarism of the world governmentand even doing the right thing led to his imprisonment. This was the catalyst for its eventual development leaving the Navy and forming the Freedom Fighters.
Monkey D. Dragon left the Marines after being imprisoned for saving lives
After almost 3 decades One piece series, Monkey D. Dragon is still one of the most mysterious characters in the series. The only thing fans really know about this man is that he heads the Revolutionary Army and that he has blood ties to both Garp and Luffy.
Other than that, not much is known about him, such as his Devil Fruit abilities, his reward, or his early life. Fortunately, God Valley provided a great insight into part of his life. Fans saw how among the corrupt marines Dragon was the only one who really wanted to help the slaves and children in God Valley.
Unfortunately, this selflessness and humanity got him into trouble with the Marine Corps and the World Government, and he paid the price. After the events in God Valley ended, Monkey D. Dragon was imprisoned. He was held in an underground detention center at Naval Headquarters for insubordination.
Fortunately for the Dragon, he was soon freed by his father, Monkey D. Garp. After release, The Dragon would continue to abandon the Marines.
Monkey D. Dragon's experience in God Valley changed him
Monkey D. Dragon was a completely changed person after witnessing what happened in God Valley. The World Government and subsequently the Marines were not the good guys. The world government hunted slaves and harmed innocents and children.
One Piece: Oda Drops A Big Hint About The Identity Of Imu's Son
Imu could have a son and his identity was heavily hinted at in One Piece.
Monkey D. Dragon even saw a dying mother begging him to protect her children, and all of this definitely affected him. Plus, being sent to prison for doing the right thing helped push him away from the Navy.
Dragon's relationship with the Marines, as well as Garp, crumbled after these events, and he went on to create a world where true justice and equality existed.
Monkey D. Dragon created The Freedom Fighters After God Valley
Exactly what Dragon did after the events of the God Valley incident is unknown. However, it's fair to assume that not long after leaving the Marine Corps, he ended up founding a resistance group famously known to fans as the Freedom Fighters, which operated against the World Government. Up until 22 years ago in the One Piece story, he was still a freedom fighter as seen in a vegapunk flashback.
Dragon eventually established a revolutionary army
The Freedom Fighters are the group that spawned Dragon's current organization, the Revolutionary Army. The exact year of its creation is unclear, but it was around 21 years ago, after Dragon met Kuma.
The Revolutionary Army is currently the greatest threat facing the World Government. They had just recently led an attack on Marijoa to free Kuma.
Fans can't wait The dragon and the true potential of the revolutionary army in One piece. It's only a matter of time before Oda targets them again, as Marijoa is already under attack and Dragon is likely at the center of it all.
