The Pokemon trading card game has officially revealed the third main set of the Mega Evolution era, with “Ascended Heroes” putting new Mega Pokémon in the spotlight. Pokemon TCG Reveals New Ascended Heroes Expansion
The Pokémon Company has officially revealed the next expansion coming to Pokemon TCGshowing the first visuals for “Ascended Heroes.” Ascended Heroes will put a lot of different Pokemon in the spotlight, most notably Mega Dragonite as its main Pokemon and bring Mega Charizard Y into the game. The post also lists some unexpected new additions Pokemon TCGAnother set that brings new Stellar Tera Pokémon and even more Owner's Pokémon as part of the expansion. The Pokemon Company even confirmed the release date of Ascended Heroes, with the file starts on January 30.
Ascended Heroes will look to pack a lot of the biggest highlights of the past year into the franchise with an assortment of select mechanics. The inclusion of Stellar Tera Pokémon will mark the first instance Pokemon TCG uses the Tera mechanics from Prismatic Evolutions, with the latest sets omitting the Tera as mechanics Pokemon packed Scarlet and Violet era. The teaser visual also hinted at reprints of a few wanted ones Pokemon TCG cards, including Ethan's Ho-Oh ex from Destined Rivals and Pikachu ex from Surging Sparks.
Pokemon TCG fans have seen plenty of reasons to be excited about the card game since the release of Mega Evolution with tons of amazing new cards.
