Whether you’re into melee attacks, magical abilities, support, or any combination of combat elements, there’s a class for everyone in this game. Each class has between 19 and 20 unlockable skills on their class’ Skill Tree, each one seeking to improve how you play Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive.
Choose The Right Class For You With Skill Trees
When you build Sun Jinwoo in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive, you’ll play for only a short while before being asked to choose one of four classes to play as in that run. The class you pick will impact your gameplay style by way of which skills you’ll be looking to upgrade, so choose carefully!
Your options for combat styles in the game are:
- Assassin, a class that all but requires good precision.
- Duelist, for those into melee combat with close-ranged weapons.
- Elementalist if you’re looking to play with magic.
- Ruler to impose all kinds of status effects.
When you spec into one of the four classes, you’ll unlock their first two skills by default. From there, you can use Skill Scrolls to purchase new skills that grant new abilities or power-ups for older ones.
You can use these skill tree perks to increase your stats in a variety of ways, learn new moves for combat, and so much more.
Each class has two major skill trees you can work to fill out as you please, and you’re also able to buy perks from other class’ trees to begin diversifying your own move set.
Regardless of how you choose to play your character, you’ll gain access to the Overdrive skill. Plenty of perks in each class’ skill trees offer buffs to your class’ individual skill with it, and you’ll find unique effects dependent on which class you’ve chosen to unlock Overdrive in.

More of a general melee fighter than the Assassin, the Duelist is the sword user among the group of possible classes in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive. It’s the easier of the two, between this and Assassin, so it’s more beginner friendly.
Unlike the other three classes, you’ll find that Duelists have 20 total skills to unlock. Your Duelist Overdrive has your character prepare a powerful deflection and use it to deal colossal damage.

A more influential class than some of the others, the Ruler class in Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive is all about keeping enemies still and coming in after with some of your intense skills, especially as you continue pursuing the Ruler Skill Tree.
