For starters, base aim assist has been increased by 6% to 8% depending on target distance, and the feature's default settings have been tweaked to give casual fans a stronger, more intentional base to work with. For those looking to further fine-tune the aim assist feature, several new settings have been introduced, including separate Aim Assist Ease sliders for Projectile, Hitscan, and Melee heroes, an Aim Assist Health Threshold feature for supports, and four additional sensitivity sliders to fine-tune rotation speed.

These changes mean aim assist will be tighter, cleaner and more customizable for all hero types, regardless of role or weapon type. In particular, Aim Assist Health Threshold will also allow support heroes to enter Overwatch 2 who auto-target allies like Mercy or Lifeweaver to make it easier to target low health heroes behind full health allies to make sure their cooldowns aren't wasted.

Lots of new skins will arrive and save in the Battle Pass Overwatch 2 Season 20 including Mythic Divine Desperado Cassidy, Capsule Cannon Orisa and Magma Titan Doomfist during the mid-season patch. A winter wonderland is also returning Overwatch 2 from December 9th to January 7th, which features familiar game modes along with the holiday-themed Mischief & Magic. The first two weeks of this event will feature the typical prop hunting minigame, but the last two will introduce a twist in the form of special abilities unique to each disguise that will allow Kiriko to battle Genji. So far, there have been no clues pointing to a new collaboration event, but Avatar: The Last Airbender the crossover will return from December 16th to the 29th, and will reportedly give fans the chance to purchase skins they missed or obtain Katara Mei through in-game challenges.
