Although Capcom listed three examples of IPs it has in its repertoire, the company added that it would do so as a way to expand and cultivate its fan base.
The news comes amid a busy week for Capcom and its fans as the studio prepares for February 2026. Resident Evil Requiem. The upcoming survival horror title will focus on Grace Ashcroft, the daughter Resident Evil Outbreak main character Alyssa Ashcroft. As an FBI agent, Grace is assigned to a case that takes her to the Wrenwood Hotel, where her mother was murdered eight years before the events of the game, and eventually to the ruins of Raccoon City. In Capcom's 2025 Integrated Report, company president and COO Haruhiro Tsujimoto stated that the company plans to expand its user base and release new games, ports, and remakes from IPs such as Devil May Cry, Mega manand Ace Attorneyamong others. Tsujimoto stated that by cultivating a loyal fan base for these franchises, they could become core IPs Street Fighter and Resident Evil currently they are. In 2025, Devil May Cry anime on Netflix has had an impact on Devil May Cry 5sale, as DMC5 upon the show's launch, it reached 10 million units sold across all available platforms.
Regardless of that Ace Attorney and Mega man no new game released in 2025, the second series will get a new compilation soon.
