Over the last ten years or so, Attack on Titan has cemented itself as one of the greatest anime series of all time. After the terrifying and chilling story of Eren Yeager, Attack on Titan amassed a huge following and the quality that Isayama delivered ensured that his name was etched in history. Undoubtedly, Attack on Titan is an anime series that will be remembered for decades.
Best action anime with 50+ episodes, rated
This action anime delivers heart-pounding battles over several seasons, with each anime having more than 50 episodes.
While Attack on Titan he is definitely great, calling him the greatest of all time would definitely not be accurate. At the end of the day, taste in anime is largely subjective, but there are definitely some series that have proven themselves to be better than Attack on Titan.
One piece
One piece is one of the greatest anime and manga series of all time. Attack on Titanhas garnered a lot of hype over the years, but it's still nothing compared to what One Piece has amassed in nearly 3 decades.
Over the past 28 years, fans have followed Luffy and his adventures on his journey to becoming the Pirate King. One Piece has dealt with various themes like oppression and freedom throughout its existence, and it handles things even better than Attack on Titan.
Hunter X Hunter
Hunter X Hunter is a legendary shonen that inspired many great series after it. Hunter X Hunter is the standard when it comes to incredible writingand many other series don't even come close.
Chimera Ant arc from Hunter X Hunter in particular is known to be somewhat similar to Attack on Titan, only the writing is on a whole other level. Although it feels more cheerful compared to Attack on Titan, Hunter X Hunter it's still awful. Its incredible character writing, great power system, and phenomenal battles are what make it so much better than Attack on Titan. Even the villains in Hunter X Hunter like Meruem and Hisoka are on a different level compared to Attack on Titan.
If there is one anime that many fans consider to be the best of all time, this is definitely it Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. This anime is often considered to be absolutely perfect, and while there are a few plot holes, just like any other anime, the consistency it shows is unmatched.
The best anime to watch if you like Attack On Titan
Attack On Titan is a unique experience that cannot be repeated. These anime are similar but shine in their own way.
Edward Elric's quest to restore his brother's body touched the hearts of many fans. This series reigned supreme on MyAnimeList for a very long time. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case, but it's still one of the best and will remain so for a long time.
Monster
Monster is a Seinen series that follows the story of a surgeon on a very important mission he has set for himself, to kill a boy he had previously decided to perform a life-saving surgery on.
Monster is a heavy story and does not involve flashy transformations. Like Attack on Titan, it addresses some important discussions about morality. However, many would argue that Monster does things much better. Monster is definitely a must-see series for fans who enjoyed the final arc of Attack on Titan.
The Vinland Saga
Vinland Saga is known as a master series. It follows the story of Thorfinn, who after losing his father is consumed by an unstoppable revenge. However, Throfinn sets out on a journey to find himself again and reach Vinland, a legendary land he's only heard about in stories.
The Vinland Saga perhaps represents some of the greatest character development for a main character seen in recent manga. While some praise Eren's writing, Thorfinn's is even better.
Naruto
Narutoas well as One pieceis a legendary anime and manga that almost every anime fan has heard of.
Naruto isn't nearly as dark as Attack on Titan, but it definitely has its moments. It follows Naruto on his journey to become Hokage, and along the way, fans witness some of the greatest battles in Shonen manga, as well as some of the most appealing characters in anime. Naruto's story arcs are second to none and the highs he's reached far surpass even Attack on Titan.
Attack on Titan definitely became iconic, but still nothing compared to Naruto.
Code Geass
Code Geass was definitely revolutionary in the Mecha genre. The anime follows a thrilling revolution led by Lelouch against the Empire using the power of his Geass. Geass allows him to manipulate others by giving orders.
While both Attack on Titan and Code Geass have interesting main characters, between Lelouch and Eren it is clear to many that Lelouch is the superior character. This is even more apparent when it comes to their endings. Lelouch's ending is praised as one of the greatest character endings of all time, while Eren's is divided among fans. Code Geass is perfect from start to finish, while Attack on Titan has a few dips here and there.
