If you want an endless submission mode, then I have an alternative Steam game for you

Send proved to be one of the best games of the year as its unique and charming take on the superhero genre resonated with many players. Since its launch, Send caught the attention of many with its clever premise. Its compelling characters and all-around strong story helped it stand out among this year's crowded list, no easy feat. The year 2025 was absolutely packed with star games Send is a solid deck, many players loved its dispatch gameplay in conjunction with everything else.

There are plenty of fans who prefer to make decisions SendTwo options for romance and experiencing its story moments, but sending heroes around the city to fight crime can definitely be another highlight of the experience. It's so popular that some fans have even taken to social media to request an endless procedural mode that only focuses on shipping. Unfortunately, there are no known plans to revive this kind of mode, but luckily there's one game on Steam that could scratch that itch quickly: This is the Police.

This is the police that could be the cure to the woes of some Dispatch fans

  • This is the Police released on Steam in 2016.
  • It is also available for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and Mobile.

Send fans who enjoy participating in the titular task will immediately recognize the resemblance to This is the Police. With its isometric map and crime-focused story This is the Police puts players in control of Police Chief Jack Boyd, a longtime officer on the eve of his retirement. Boyd is set to retire in 180 days, and during that time players must find a way to get him $500,000 before he retires from the force for good. Over the course of the game, Boyd must decide which members of the town to join, while sending groups of officers to various crime scenes in the struggling city of Freeburg. Like the elections in Sendin which the player decides This is the Police can greatly affect the action of the game, but this time there is a darker edge.

This is the police 2 released in 2018, but added tactical combat to the mix. Instead of the sequel, Dispatch fans should check out the first game for the best comparison.

IN This is the PoliceDispatch is one of the central gameplay mechanics that players engage with. As Freeburg spirals out of control, Jack Boyd must devise a strategy to ensure the right cops are sent to the right crime scenes. It's incredibly reminiscent Send because the heroes that Robert Robertson sends into emergency situations can have different results depending on the hero's abilities. Based on the hero's stats, they could be a perfect fit or a disaster, so players have to really weigh the options when choosing the right team. SendThe story of the game can overshadow most of the gameplay moments, but with This is the Policedispatch is an integral part of the narrative.

this is a police protest

This is a police force that takes a more grounded and gritty approach than dispatch

Send deals with mature topics, but This is the Police can be downright vivid and bleak with its depictions of a police department struggling with staffing problems and rampant crime. This is the Police it goes so far with its real-world inspired themes that sometimes it's even a bad idea to send officers of different political persuasions to work on a case together, as it might incite conflict. Not only does Jack Boyd have to strategize which officer is best suited to solve a particular crime, but he also has to think hard about how a certain officer will behave around a teammate. Criminals aren't the only reason to worry, and that's what planning does This is the Police more difficult. SendThe game's may not be as lively as This is the Police's, but that's also what makes it a perfect candidate for fans who want something deeper and more realistic.

In addition to avoiding fights in the police department, Jack Boyd also deals with the local mafia. Moral dilemmas in games are nothing new, but This is the Police it presents these kinds of scenarios in a realistic way, showing that sometimes you can unexpectedly find yourself in a corner, with the only way out seemingly being to bend morality. It's a game full of moral gray areas, and while it may be tricky for some, it's incredibly compelling for those who find this kind of power dynamic fascinating.

Until AdHoc Studio makes infinite dispatch a reality, this is the next best thing to the police

this is the police are you ok

Even if SendThe story and characters are some of the key aspects that make it such a great game that it would definitely benefit from an endless submission mode. At this point, the only way to get more out of this game is a second Send playthrough is to experience the entire game from start to finish (or third…or fourth…).

As far as fans know, AdHoc Studio has no real plans to make infinite Send mode, which feels like a missed opportunity. It could give the game even more replayability, but only time will tell if the developers make that leap. Yet, even without infinite procedural possibilities, Send is the peak this year. Whether it's a submission-only mode or more narrative content, it's clear Send players want more.

With the hope of a Send Season 2 continues to grow, it will be interesting to see if AdHoc Studio decides to make a sequel. If so, then it could potentially pave the way for a highly replayable shipping-centric mode, but until that comes (if ever), This is the Police has much to offer to satisfy this desire.
