Ubisoft It seems that his popular multiplayer shooter has suffered yet another hack Rainbow Six Siegewith players reporting a 67 day ban. This hack comes just days after Ubisoft's update Rainbow Six Siege servers after temporarily taking them offline on December 27 following a previous hacking attempt. It is unclear if this is a brand new hack or if the servers are still exposed to a previous attempt.
Rainbow Six Siege has a huge online community and is one of Ubisoft's most popular games with a strong player base that still sees over 50,000 concurrent players on Steam alone, 10 years after its initial launch. It is therefore not surprising that a game of this era suffers from hacking attempts during its lifetime. However, two back-to-back hacks have caused some players to question the security of Ubisoft's servers.

Rainbow Six Siege is hacked again and players are reportedly banned for 67 days
According to X user vx-underground the servers are for Rainbow Six Siege have been compromised and players are reporting logging in to find their account has been banned for 67 days. Players may see this screen stating that they have been banned for an “anti-harassment offense” even if they have not violated any of Rainbow Six Siegecommunity guidelines. This reasoning, combined with the 67-day ban, is a sure sign that the servers have been hacked, as the number 67 has become commonly associated with the popular “6 7” meme.
In addition, server status for Rainbow Six Siegeas stated on Ubisoft's website, it shows that there are several unplanned issues on all platforms. This further suggests that a major hack has taken place and is not limited to a specific platform. Connectivity shows as degraded, while authentication, in-game trading, and matchmaking are all completely down. Some players are also reporting a “sync failed” error message when trying to log in.
Rainbow Six Siege has now been hacked over the course of a week
Formerly, Rainbow Six Siege On December 27, Ubisoft had to take its servers offline after a hacking incident that affected the game's marketplace. During this incident, some players reportedly received huge amounts of store credits out of the blue, and developer-only skins appeared on the servers. While players affected by this hack may have seen the free credits as a pleasant surprise, Ubisoft quickly reversed transactions made using credits from the hack without blocking players who attempted to purchase items from the marketplace using these ill-gotten credits.
Ubisoft restored the servers on December 28, leading to reports of extended login times and login queues. However, a week later, it appears that players should brace themselves for another temporary one Rainbow Six Siege shutting down the server after the last hacking attempt. Ubisoft has yet to address the issue and it is unclear whether banned players will have their accounts unblocked before the 67-day period expires. However, due to the nature of the situation Rainbow Six Siege players are likely to regain access to their accounts without taking advantage of bans.
This series Rainbow Six Siege hacks comes at an unfortunate time for the game as Ubisoft recently launched Attack on Titan crossing with Rainbow Six Siege it allowed players to dress up Amara as Mikasa Ackerman. Next to this Attack on Titan cooperation is Rainbow Six Siege's Operation Tenfold Pursuit, which offers rewards like Roister and Great Consequence for players who complete daily challenges. Players who fall victim to this wave of 67 bans may lose their opportunities to earn these rewards, giving Ubisoft even more reason to deal with the server hack quickly.
