I've played over 80 hours of each Diablo 4 class and here is my official ranking

There are now a total of 7 playable classes available Diablo 4 players, the game offers a wide variety of play styles and builds that can be created. I played Diablo 4 he's participated in nearly every season since day one, logging roughly 80+ hours of game time in each Diablo 4 class. While the viability of each Diablo 4 class varies greatly from season to season, there are a few common recurring themes across the meta. Over the course of my time playing the game, I've seen these classes change over time, and there's a pretty clear hierarchy that's evolved over time.

This ranking looks at how the classes have generally performed since their introduction, as well as my personal experience playing them.

Diablo 3 almost landed with this cut content 14 years before Diablo 4

After 14 years, one piece of content cut from Diablo 3 is finally making its series debut in the upcoming Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred expansion.

7

Druid

Despite the fact that it has built-in at the highest level Diablo 4 Season 10 with the powerful Ravens Companion Druid, the Druid as a whole was somewhat underwhelming. Druid Alignment Diablo 4 it can take a while as the class doesn't really shine until players reach the endgame and unlock the Paragon Board. An Endgame Druid build can certainly be solid, but getting to that point can be a bit of a chore with low early game damage.

The best Druid build in Diablo 4

  • A common druid

  • Boulderstorm Druid

  • Crush the druid

Pulverize Druid builds have consistently remained the most powerful option in their class, with a solid AoE attack that gets even better with the addition of Rotting Lightbringer Unique. I used the impressive built-in Companion Druid Diablo 4 Season 10 that used the Savagery Chaos Perk to make Ravens a basic skill that can be spammed repeatedly. Even without Chaos Perks, Companion Druids are still a solid option, as are Boulderstorm Druids, who flourished in Season 7, but the combination of Hurricane and Boulder is still pretty devastating even in Season 11.

6

Barbarian

Like the Druid, the Barbarians had tall heights mixed with mediocrity. One of my favorite barbarian builds throughout the season was the Hammer of the Ancients build, but there were several barbarian builds that remained meta contenders. The Barbarian class is on the rise again in Season 11 with some fantastic meta options that take advantage of the new Chainscourged Mail Unique. However, Barbarian has been in this position before and saw the other end of the spectrum when Overpower Damage was nerfed back in Season 9.

The best barbarian buildings in Diablo 4

  • Barbarian Hammer of the Ancients

  • Earthquake barbarian

  • Lunging Strike Barbarian

Lunging Strike Barbarian has been a mainstay of class build options throughout Diablo 4's life, and has remained a solid option in almost every season due to its ease of use with a high potential ceiling. Hammer of the Ancients Barbarian is the most fun to play in my opinion, with its massive AoE damage paired with Call of the Ancients Ultimate to make a great screen clearing deck. Earthquake Barbarians and the LeapQuake variant were huge Diablo 4 Season 11 thanks to Chainscourge Mail, but has been inconsistent in past seasons.

5

Rascal

Thieves have a wide variety of tools Diablo 4 which allow the class to be very versatile season to season, even if not all build options are in the meta. My main problem with Rogue is the number of skills you have to keep in rotation to play the class effectively, which makes it a tough class for newbies. Diablo 4 players to learn. That said, he has a high skill ceiling and is consistently one of the better classes in and out of the season.

The best Rogue Builds in Diablo 4

  • Dance of Knives Rogue

  • Twisting Blades Rogue

  • Rogue's Deathtrap

Rogue is notable for having one of these Diablo 4The best one-button build in Dance of the Knives, which is probably the most fun. Other Rogue builds are much more complicated, such as the Deadly Trap build, which requires the player to run the Rogue's Trap skills along with the Subterfuge class skills to support their playstyle. Twisting Blades Rogue dominated the meta in the early seasons Diablo 4and remains a solid choice in Season 11.

4

Magician

Although the class seemed to struggle in the early seasons Diablo 4The Warlock has quietly become one of the most powerful classes in recent seasons. Hydra Witcher really helped elevate Witcher after Ophidian Iris and Serpentine Aspect kicked the build up a notch. However, the main drawback that kept me from using the Warlock more is his glass cannon state, which makes him hard to survive without some serious help.

The best wizard build in Diablo 4

  • The Hydra wizard

  • A crackling energy wizard

  • Chain Lightning Slayer

The Hydra Warlock has been a staple of the lineup for the past few seasons, as the debut of Ophidian Iris in Season 9 turned Hydra into a basic skill with increased damage. Chain Lightning was the best Sorcerer lineup ever Diablo 4with the Axial Conduit Unique playing a huge role in its success. Recently, Crackling Energy Sorcerer has gained popularity due to Galvanic Azurite, which greatly reduces lightning damage.

Diablo 4 Season 11 allows players to hit a god roll that was previously impossible

With changes to the gear upgrade system in Season 11, Diablo 4 players have a chance to hit the jackpot on affixes that no one has seen before.

3

Necromancer

My favorite archetype in Diablo franchise is Necromancer, it truly blossoms with this love Diablo 2. Before release Diablo 4's DLC, I'd say the Necromancer is my favorite Diablo 4 class to play as well. It's another versatile class with fantastic build options for almost every phase of the game. Minion Necromancer is probably the best for leveling, while endgame builds like Blood Wave Necromancer and Shadowblight Necromancer are consistently at the top of the meta.

The best Necromancer buildings in Diablo 4

  • Minion Necromancer

  • Shadowblight Necromancer

  • Bloodwave Necromancer

Necromancer has a high skill cap but low skill level, and the Minion Necromancer build is the perfect build for players of all skill levels, as players can let their skeleton mages, warriors, and golems do the killing for them. Once players reach Diablo 4's endgame, builds like Shadowblight and Blood Wave Necromancer come to life. Shadowblight is an insane key passive that allows the class to stack shadow damage and quickly melt enemies, while Blood Wave Necromancer can become an AoE threat with Kessime's Legacy Unique Pants.

2

Spiritborn

First class after launch for Diablo 4 When Vessel of Hatred first came out, it made quite a splash. Since its release, Spiritborn has remained on top Diablo 4 a meta with a number of fantastic build options. Spiritborn is fast, smooth and powerful, making it extremely fun to play. While I'm partial to the Quill Volley Spiritborn build, the Evade Spiritborn is even easier and more powerful. However, all of the Spiritborn class Spirit Halls have metadata build options that have been viable pretty much since the class was introduced.

The best Spiritborn builds in Diablo 4

  • Avoid the Spiritborn

  • Quill Volley Spiritborn

  • Spiritborn crushing hand

Since Evade Spiritborn actually requires the player to hit the Evade button to spam Thunderpike and melt enemies, it retained the highest option in the class's gear. However, Quill Volley with a Rod of Kepeleke Unique converted my Vessel of Hatred play and late season 6 pressure to great effect. Crushing Hand Spiritborn also climbed to one of the best builds in its class with the addition of Hesha e Kesungi from Tier 10 to support Gorilla Spirit Hall.

1

Paladin

The latest addition to Diablo 4's roster class takes the crown as the best class in the game, despite only having one season under its belt. Prior to Season 11, Paladin was the most requested class from the fanbase and Blizzard really knocked it out of the park with the addition of Paladin, creating a class that is versatile yet easy and fun. It might be some recency bias, but playing a Paladin Diablo 4 Season 11 was the most fun I've had in a game in a long time.

The best Paladin builds in Diablo 4

  • Aura Paladin

  • Shield of Retribution Paladin

  • Blessed Hammer Paladin

While things may change in future seasons, most of Paladin's built-in features Diablo 4 Season 11 is viable in the meta. By far the best build the class has to offer is the Auradin build, which uses the Paladin's exclusive Aura mechanic to basically kill simply by existing. However, there are other great builds if that's not your cup of tea, such as the Shield of Retribution build I'm running this season, which combines the damage of Thorns and Blessed Shield, or the Blessed Hammer Paladin, which basically turns the player into Marvel's Thor.
