Developer Embark Studios has released a brand new update to its successful third-person extraction shooter, ARC Raiders. The latest patch is now available for download on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC with several important bug fixes and some key balance adjustments. ARC Raiders weapons and items. After weeks of waiting, update 1.11.0 finally nerfs the controversial Trigger Nade, which dominated all PvP encounters during the Christmas period.
While the latest update was highly anticipated due to the balance tweaks included, fans have also been patiently waiting for more teases ARC Raiders skin that is now finally available as part of the Abyss cosmetic pack. The entire pack can be purchased for 1,600 Raider Tokens and comes with the new skin seen in the image above, a new emote, and many other cosmetic items. This particular outfit has caught the attention of players before ARC Raiders was even released as the preview trailer gave fans a peek inside the skin. Fans were then left to wait nearly three months without any word on when the outfit would make it to the game. But with update 1.11.0 now available on all platforms, the Abyss Pack is finally available through the in-game store.
ARC Raiders players have found an even wilder way to cheat
In another example of game theory in action, some cheaters have discovered a fairly straightforward way to gain an unfair advantage in ARC Raiders.
ARC Raiders Finally Nerfed Trigger Nade
In addition to the highly anticipated new cosmetic set, the latest ARC Raiders the update also makes some big balance adjustments. According to the official patch notes, which can be found later in this article, Embark Studios has balanced the item's damage drop to focus damage closer to the center of the explosion and deal less damage further away. The studio also increased the delay between launching a grenade and its explosion from 0.7 seconds to 1.5 seconds, which should give players more time to react and make it harder to time the detonation while it's in the air. With this nerf, Embark hopes to make the Trigger Nade less usable as a “trigger-in-air” grenade and more in line with its original intent.
One of the other key changes in the update is a reduction in the rate of fire of the Kettle, one of the most popular weapons in the game ARC Raiders. After players began using macros to fire the weapon much faster than humanly possible, many fans called for Embark to fix the problem as the weapon quickly began to dominate the lobby. Now, in update 1.11.0, Embark has reduced the weapon's rate of fire from 600 to 450. The studio notes that its previous rate of fire was only realistically achievable by players using macros, creating an unfair dynamic that favors the use of third-party software.
One weapon that no one has touched is the stapler. Although it is one of the most common weapons in the game, some have found that it can outperform much rarer weapons in the same category, such as the Bobcat. While Embark previously said it was looking into new balance adjustments for Stitcher in ARC RaidersThere appear to be no weapon changes in today's update. Fans were also disappointed with the minimal number of bug fixes in patch 1.11.0, as there are still many issues with the game, such as players going out of bounds on Stella Montis, broken voice chat, and the infamous purchase reset bug.
Today's update also marked the end of the Cold Snap and Flickering Flames events, which both kicked off last month in the last update of 2025. The event introduced a new map modifier known as Cold Snap, which covered the map in snow and forced players to seek cover or risk damage from the stormy conditions outside. Rumors suggest that the new Toxic Swamp map mod will be released as part of next week's new update, but this has yet to be confirmed by Embark Studios at the time of writing.

Developer Note: Trigger 'Nade is currently dominating PVP encounters and players prefer to pick it over all of our other grenades. This nerf aims to make it less usable as a “trigger-in-air” grenade while retaining its utility as a sticky bomb. Damage fallout has been realigned to focus damage closer to the center of the explosion and deal less damage further away. The delay between launching a grenade and its detonation has been increased from 0.7s to 1.5s, giving players more time to react and making it more difficult to time the detonation in the air.
