Survive in StarRupture it's not just about building functional factories and transporting material into orbit. Every time you leave your station, a hidden layer of systems starts working against you. These stats quietly determine how far you can travel, how long you can fight, and how prepared you really are for the dangers of Arcadia-7.
The game doesn't really explain how these mechanics work, so many early deaths are sudden or unfair. Once you understand what each stat does, everything falls into place. You stop reacting to empty meters and start purposefully planning your routes, meals and upgrades. This guide breaks down each stat StarRupture and how you can manage each of them.
How to unlock a map in StarRupture
Here's how to unlock the map feature in StarRupture, as well as how to detect Arcadia-7 faster with Geo Scanners.
All stats in StarRupture and how to manage them
Press the button to view your character's main stats Tabwhich will open the character overview screen. Here you will see five bars: Shield, health, calories, hydration and toxicity. These are constantly changing based on what you are doing and where you are.
There is also a sixth stat called Stamina. It doesn't show up in the same way, but it's just as important. Stamina determines how long you can sprint, jump, dodge and fight before your body gives up. You can't stay alive there StarRupture long without balancing all six of these stats.
Shield
The shield is the blue bar above your health. Any damage you take from enemies or hazards will first deplete the shield bar. If you avoid damage for a short time, it will start to regenerate itself.
Shield regeneration is passive and its maximum capacity is tied to long-term upgrades. As long as enemies don't deplete your health bar, you can stay on the field for longer periods of time without burning healing items.
Health
Health is the red bar under the shield. If it reaches zero, you will die and return to your regeneration chamber. Your equipment remains intact after death, but anything you were carrying falls on your corpse.
If you want to fully recover in StarRuptureyou must physically go back and loot items on your own body.
Unlike a shield, health does not naturally regenerate itself during exploration. To restore health, you must use healing items such as the Medtool StarRupture. Once unlocked, the Medtool becomes your most reliable source of healing.
Calorie
Calories in StarRupture they represent your food reserves. This bar constantly depletes over time, no matter what you do on Arcadia-7. It doesn't matter if you're mining, building or just walking around; everything uses up your calories.
If the calories drop below zero, you will start taking damage over time. If you ignore this bar and focus on other tasks like building and construction, you can die in a perfectly safe zone.
Simply eat Polifruit to replenish your calories. It is common and can be eaten directly. Get in the habit of grabbing it whenever you see it and eating it when the stick drops. Once cooking is unlocked StarRupturebetter foods restore more calories and usually provide additional buffs. This will also change how many times you have to stop and eat.
Hydration
Hydration behaves similarly to calories. It drains over time and lets it drop below zero deals damage over time. Letting both hydration and calories fall into the red is one of the fastest ways to end up low on health without ever getting hit by an enemy.
To rehydrate, eat Hydrobulbs. Additionally, you can use Hydrobulbs to create better meals after unlocking the Cooking Station, which can restore both hydration and other stats.
Toxicity
Toxicity is different from all other stats. It only increases when you consume items that explicitly add a Toxicity status effect, such as aggressive food lovers.
When Toxicity reaches 100, the game hits you with severe penalties. You can easily reduce toxicity before it hits the cap by eating foods made with Purplant.
Stamina
You need Stamina to move, sprint, dash, and double jump. When Stamina goes down, your movement will slow down and you won't be able to perform any evasive maneuvers. In many situations, low stamina is more dangerous than low health, as not being able to move can kill you instantly.
To restore Stamina, eat foods made with snake root. They improve Stamina regeneration and mobility, but increase toxicity, so be careful when consuming them.
While food, healing items, and passive regeneration are important, you can boost your stats long-term with LEMs. You can find LEMs at the beginning of the game, but you have to unlock the LEM Station to use them.
