America's Strongest Hunters

Quite a few powerful Hunters in Solo Leveling are from America, and these are the strongest of them all.

Scavengers Guild Betting

  • Thomas Andre was aware of Jinwoo's strength even before they fought.

Thomas Andre is a good judge of character. With his accumulated fighting knowledge and experience, he knows exactly who is weak and strong. His instincts never fail him, making him confident and arrogant at the same time.

When Japan was on the brink of destruction due to the discovery of the S rank gate in Tokyo, Thomas bet his entire guild on Jinwoo while the other hunters mocked him for his arrogance. However, he knew that Jinwoo had the power to clear the dungeon, so he had the last laugh.

The Taming of Hwang Dong-Soo

  • Thomas Andre is Hwang Dong-Soo's boss.

Thomas Andre is one of the few hunters in Solo leveling who has the guts to put an S-rank hunter like Hwang Dong-Soo in his rightful place. As the leader of the Scavengers Guild who recruited Hwang Dong-Soo from Korea to America, Thomas is responsible for overseeing Hwang's actions and decisions.

For most Solo levelingThomas Andre never fails to give Hwang Dong-Soo a taste of his own medicine. His strong words and statements are just enough to tame Hwang and force him to follow whatever he wants. In Thomas's presence, Hwang is forced into a state of submission and endures any lecture that comes his way.

Hunting Hwang Dong-Soo and Jinwoo

  • Thomas Andre wasted no time in finding Jinwoo and Hwang Dong-Soo.

The International Guild Conference showed just how fast Thomas Andre is when it comes to tracking down Hwang Dong-Soo and Sung Jinwoo. The two have been fighting for some time now, with Jinwoo dominating the exchange, so Hwang Dong Soo is running out of time.

While the rest of the Scavenger Guild members scattered around the city looking for clues, Thomas moves with terrifying speed and efficiency, allowing him to find Hwang Dong-Soo and Sung Jinwoo as soon as possible. Unfortunately, no matter how fast he was, it was too late to save Hwang.

Help with the Kamish raid

  • Thomas Andre became a national level hunter after the Kamish Raid.

Thomas Andre was one of the five S-rank hunters who conquered the Red Dragon Kamish years before Sung Jinwoo became a player in the System. Kamish is no ordinary dragon as he was an S level dungeon boss and a servant of Antares, the dragon monarch.

Long story short, Kamish caused widespread havoc in America where Thomas Andre resides. So it is impressive that Thomas was able to survive Kamisha's wrath while the others perished. Not to be outdone, Thomas also acquired the dragon's sharp fangs, which he later transformed into a powerful dagger.

Fight Tarnak in the final battle arc

  • Thomas Andre helped defeat Tarnak.

Thomas Andre is an absolute force of nature, so he deserves to play a key role in Sung Jinwoo's ultimate plan against the Monarchs in the Final Battle Arc. He may have almost died against Rakan, but he still joined the fight against Tarnak and allied himself with Bellion and Beru wholeheartedly.

Tarnak, otherwise known as the Iron/Steel Body Monarch, faced a group of Thomas Andre, Bellion, and Beru. Together they defeated Tarnak and his forces, proving just how powerful the ruler's vessel and two shadows could be.

Fighting Rakan during the invasion of Seoul

  • Thomas Andre faced Rakan alone.

Beast Monarch, Rakan, was Thomas Andre's next opponent after fighting Jinwoo in the International Guild Conference Arc. Thomas, still fresh from the hospital, did not back down against a superior being like Rakan. Instead of running away from the fight due to his painful injuries, he never hesitated to face the Beast Monarch.

Even more impressively, Thomas even overcame the Beast Monarch with his power. At first he had the upper hand in the fight until Rakan went crazy and got serious. Unfortunately, Thomas lost another fight, but that doesn't make him any less of a warrior. He remains a powerful opponent, but his body has yet to recover from the injuries he sustained in his fight with Sung Jinwoo.

  • Thomas Andre held his own against Jinwoo.

Thomas Andre is one of the few hunters who fought Jinwoo and survived to see another day. He went toe-to-toe with him, using all his strength and abilities to defeat the opponent. However, even after going all out with his reinforcement and spirit body manifestation, Jinwoo came out victorious.

Even so, it's rare for someone to survive a fight with Jinwoo, but Thomas Andre still managed to do it despite his broken bones. He may have lost the fight, but he still put on a phenomenal display of strength against Jinwoo that no ordinary hunter could easily pull off.
