2026 had some amazing indie, double-A, and triple-A experiences across a wide variety of genres. Ghost of Yotei was a big open world action samurai game. Donkey Kong Banana was a smaller action platformer that allowed players to break through solid rock. Finally, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach was an open world game with a delivery and crafting system that was beyond cool.

It's been a good year for gaming, but now it's a new year. What Triple-A experiences will players enjoy in 2026? While most of these games have firm release dates or windows, they can be delayed. Delay or not, the wait will be worth it.
