Greet the newly awakened Haki user in the straw hats

This article contains spoilers from the Elbaf Arc of One Piece.

The Straw Hat Pirates are one of the most powerful crews on the seas One piece and fans know that they have already established themselves as a powerful Yonko crew in the Final Saga. The Straw Hat Pirates will continue to go from strength to strength because even though they are already the Emperor's crew, they are not yet ready to face the World Government and dismantle them in battle.

One Piece Slam Hat Villain Final Saga Vivi

It's time to admit that the final One Piece villain might be a member of The Slam Hat Pirates

The final villain of One Piece may not be Blackbeard, but a member of the Straw Hats.

Luffy is nowhere near his peak and so is every other member of the crew. In the Elbaf Arc, fans are sure to see all the Straw Hats evolve in some way, and that's really exciting. While some will gain new weapons or upgrade their arsenal in one way or another, others will most likely gain abilities like Hakiand that's what fans really like to see.

One particular character in the Straw Hat Pirates was already able to awaken Haki as teased in the Egghead Arc, but only subconsciously.. Regardless, this Straw Hat is already a new Haki user and fans are sure to see him fully utilize this power later on.

Straw hat pirates do not have user haki

Straw Hat Pirates are one piece short of Haki Users

  • Only 4 Straw Hats use two types of Haki right now

  • Yonko Crews need more Haki users

Even though the Straw Pirates are a strong Imperial crew, it cannot be denied that aside from the Monster Trio, the rest of the crew must be much stronger than they currently are. Even Jinbei, who easily dismantled Who's Who in combat during the Wano arc, needs to step up significantly. In Elbaf, the vast majority of the Straw Hat crew had been taken down by a single Saint Knight in Gunko, a clear sign that this group needed to step up and reach higher levels of power immediately. The likes of Nami, Usopp, Robin, Jinbei and Brook along with Franky need to be much stronger than they currently are and that's just the reality at this point.

Haki is a power that lies dormant in everyone and everywhere. The ability to sense spiritual energy and overpower enemies is something that everyone has to some extent. But most people never discover it. — Silvers Rayleigh

One way each Straw Hat member can improve is by learning Haki. It's quite surprising to know that despite being the Emperor's crew, the Straw Hat Pirates only have four users of the two basic types of Haki. Of course, Usopp also has access to Haki, but it's just not right in his case, so he needs to make a lot of progress in that department. In both cases, the Straw Hats need to work on their Haki tremendously.

Yet, Luffy and Zoro have access to all three types, with Sanji and Jinbei having access to two types and Usopp having access to Observation Hakiwhich he only used in one arc in a one-off moment. As such, the vast majority of the crew does not have access to this power, and that must change in the Final Saga starting with Elbaf. Strangely enough, one Straw Hat was already able to use Haki in the Egghead Arc without realizing it, and that's Franky.

Franky could be the new Straw Hat Haki user

Franky could be a new Straw Hat Haki user

  • Used Haki subconsciously vs Mars

  • He needs to awaken the Haki armor in Elbaf

In the Egghead arc of One piecefans saw the straw pirates clash with the Five Elders. One particular clash was more interesting than the others in that it gave fans a new Haki user in the Straw Hat ranks. When Luffy boarded Mars, he decided to capture him while he absorbed the power of several of his allies, then blasted him a great distance so he wouldn't come back and bother them again.

Holding on to Mars' wings, Luffy asked Sanji, Franky, and Bonney to unleash their full power on him, absorbing his attack power and then using his rubber body to direct it at Saint Mars. Sanji apparently harnessed the power of Haki when he used Ifrit Jambe. Meanwhile, Jewelry Bonney was clearly seen using Haki on her fists.

Of course it hurts a lot. You are using Haki after all. — Luffy to Bonney, Sanji and Franky

One Piece Slam Hat Pirates New Power Level Elbaf

One Piece: Oda has already revealed the Straw Pirates' new level of power after Elbaf

Elbaf will mean significant growth for the Straw Hat Pirates. Many members reach new heights in One Piece.

Franky was the only one not visibly using Haki. However, when Luffy was hit by all of these attacks, he clearly indicated that all of the attacks were powered by Haki. If they weren't Luffy wouldn't feel the damage from Franky's attacksand in this combo he would be simply useless in the first place. Clearly, Franky used Haki in this powerful attack of his and Luffy then proceeded to redirect to Mars. Of course, that doesn't mean Franky is a Haki master. It simply means that he was subconsciously tapping into his Haki at that particular moment and that he would learn that power later.

Franky's full Haki awakening could come in Elbaf

Franky's Full Haki Awakening could come in one piece in Elbaf

While Franky used the power of Haki on Egghead once beforehis full awakening is yet to come, and that's what Elbaf will most likely do for his character. It should be noted that there are currently only five Straw Hats unbound in the land of giants, namely Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Chopper, and Franky. For all the fans know, Chopper will likely stay with Scopper Gabban for a while before returning to the battlefield. Meanwhile, Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji are already heading to the Sun Realm to battle the demon army.

Franky will definitely join this fightand he must use his Haki if he is to prove useful in this battle. After doing it once to Egghead, Franky is sure to do it again, but this time with full control of his powers and growing up as a fighter.

Fans expect Nico Robin to learn Haki soon

Fans expect Nico Robin to learn Haki, one piece soon

  • Robin needs Haki just like Franky

Another Straw Hat that fans expect to learn Haki from is Nico Robin. Robin is an excellent fighter and even managed to overpower Saint Sommers in Elbaf, which is great for her character. Unfortunately, she was unable to overcome his immortality and thus ended up losing the battle. However, if Robin got Haki, she would become much stronger and more reliable as a fighter.

Still, she wouldn't be able to counter immortality, given that only Conqueror's Haki works against immortals. But overall as a fighter Robin would be much more effective and she would then go on to actually take on the Yonko commanders of the One Piece world and she even held her own against the admirals for a considerable time. All Robin needs is to tap into his inner strength and use it to the best of his ability. Franky and Robin are likely to become the next Haki users in the Straw Hat Piratesand it is only a matter of time before they use this ability to the fullest.
