Arc Raiders was easily the most popular game of 2025 and continued the trend in 2026. It boasts more concurrent players than Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Battlefield 6 and has managed to maintain player numbers since launch. However, some fans seem to be unhappy with the content rollout.
The 1.12.0 update just dropped, bringing a store update and just four lines of patch notes. While these are all relevant fixes, there are complaints about how little this update contains. Cold Snap was the game's latest update, covering the map with a blanket of snow and adding a new survival mechanic. Before that, Arc Raiders also featured Expeditions, so it's not like there's going to be any decent content expansion.
Arc Raiders players want more content
Yes, the patch notes are only four lines, but they are all important fixes that the community has requested.
Arc Raiders Update 1.12.0 Patch Notes:
– Fixed item duplication abuse.
– Ammo duplication abuse fixed.
– Fixed some cases where players could damage others from behind geometry.
– Fixed various out of bounds locations on the Stella Montis map.
On Reddit, the community seems divided on this update. Some say that this is very little and that the developers should be releasing more content, while others think that Embark has kept a decent pace in rolling out content and that these fixes are pretty essential in the overall scheme of things.
A number of comments complained that only four simple fixes were made with no new content. Of course, the truth is that these fixes will take a lot of time to research and fix. Unfortunately, many people only see it as four lines checked off in a list.
Unfortunately, Arc Raiders players are now selling blueprints for real money
It defeats the whole point of an extraction shooter.
Others were more supportive of developers. “We're getting a weekly patch and so far a huge drop in content since launch,” said one comment. “The huge pacing kind of makes the end of cold weather without follow-up a little lackluster, not gonna lie. But pacing wise, we're really blessed so far (looking at you, Helldivers). We'll see if that actually makes the wall glitches less common with Stella.”
