Xbox Game Pass is officially adding the 6th and 7th titles in January 2026

Xbox Game Pass he added Resident Evil Village and MIO: Memories in Orbit to its content catalog. These are the sixth and seventh new titles to hit the subscription service in January 2026, bringing Xbox Game Pass back to net profit for the month after an earlier elimination.

Resident Evil Village thus finally made it to Microsoft's subscription service and joined its catalog on January 20. With the arrival of Xbox Game Pass, it now offers three Resident Evil titles. The two older entries are remakes Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3which were added to Xbox Game Pass in early 2024 and have been available ever since. Since this is not a day one release, Resident Evil Village is available on all non-essential levels of Xbox Game Pass.

Xbox Game Pass adds its first Day-One game of 2026

In addition to Resident Evil Village, the January 20 library update has also been added MIO: Memories in Orbit on Xbox Game Pass. This title from day one Shady Part of Me developer Douze Dixièmes is an artistic metroidvania set aboard the Vessel, a colossal starship filled with many living biomes, hidden secrets, and aggressive machines. Players are cast as the titular MIO, a small robot navigating through overgrown corridors and malfunctioning machinery as he tries to revive the ship's memories and stave off impending shutdown, all the while uncovering a melancholic tale of identity and the true nature of the soul. With its environmental narrative, soul-inspired gameplay mechanics, and hand-drawn art style, MIO: Memories in Orbit he is clear Hollow Knight vibration.

The indie metroidvania is the first Day One title added to Xbox Game Pass in 2026. Like most other such releases, MIO: Memories in Orbit only available to PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. Since most Day 1 adds take at least six months to reach Premium, MIO: Memories in Orbit it is expected to be available to XGP Premium users no earlier than July 2026. Meanwhile, the latest Douze Dixièmes title will serve to bolster the already extensive selection of metroidvania available to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members.

MIO: Memories in Orbit and Resident Evil Village completes the Xbox Game Pass Wave 1 lineup for January 2026. The Wave 2 list is the main one Nova Romaa hooded city builder published by Lion Shield that takes place in the Roman Empire and is scheduled to launch on January 22nd.
