Over the past few years Jujutsu Kaisen has become one of the biggest anime and manga franchises in the world. This Weekly Shonen Jump hit proved to be monumental despite its original story ending in 2024. In 2025, the manga made a major comeback with a short sequel known as Jujutsu Kaisen module. The modulo is currently ongoing but is rapidly approaching its conclusion.

Manga Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo is a very interesting sequel series created by Gege Akutami that follows the end of the original series. For the most part, this manga doesn't focus on old characters. Instead, the story takes place 68 years into the future.
in that sense The original cast of Jujutsu Kaisen either died or are too old to be a major part of the story. Despite the absence of his old characters, Gege managed to incorporate a very impressive new cast of characters into the story. While Gege didn't bring back the vast majority of the old characters, Yuji Itadori contributes to the narration of Modulo.
It came to light recently Yuji Itadori disappeared several years ago. This revelation followed after it was pointed out that he no longer ages. The reason for this is unknown, but it caused him a lot of anxiety.
Over the past few years Yuji had to watch his friends die one by one. This burden of loss was too much for him to bear and he decided to simply leave his old life behind. Formerly, the last known place where Yuji Itadori was seen was Hana Kurusu's funeral, as stated by Yuji's old friend Nobara.. But now Yuji has reappeared in the story and it's getting very exciting.

After a very long absence from the story, Yuji Itadori has finally officially returned in the current Modulo timeline. Specifically, Yuji Itadori reappeared in Tokyo in the latest chapter 19 of the manga. Naturally, fans were excited to see Yuji return, and most are delighted to see their beloved hero from Shinjuku once again. However, fans have yet to see his full face upon his return.
Yuji is definitely a character that grew slowly for much of the original series despite being the main character. Yuji didn't get many powerups until the final arc, but now things are different. Yuji Itadori has re-emerged stronger than ever and his latest abilities clearly show that. Actually, only with his debut Yuji showed off his latest power-up. His display will only get better in the Module and his overall character will definitely benefit from this return.

With Convergence, Yuji quickly takes over a building full of wizards
Yuji Itadori wasn't always the strongest character in Jujutsu Kaisen. After all, before the Battle of Sukun, Yuji was actually quite fearless in battle, especially compared to other talented wizards around him like Yuta Okkotsu or Maki Zenin.
However, during the Battle of Sukun, Yuji unlocked much more of his potential. With that being said, Yuji's level back then is nothing compared to where he is now. In Modulo, after Yuji's return, Gege quickly showed how much power he had grown.
In Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 19, Yuji demonstrated how he became the greatest user of blood manipulation in the entire story. With his Penetrating Blood, an ability especially used by his older brother Choso, Yuji was able to destroy an entire building full of wizards and Simurians.

Gojo was Japan's most powerful sorcerer, but that's no longer the case. Japan has a new number 1 in JJK Modulo.
For those who don't know, using Piercing Blood requires using Convergence, but Yuji couldn't do that in Shinjuku Arc. as such Choso had to create Convergence to harness the power. However, now Yuji has not only mastered the power, he has even developed it.
While most of the time, a skilled user of Piercing Blood can use up to three arrows at once, with one trajectory Yuji easily produced countless arrows, each following a unique trajectorysubduing an entire building of wizards in a single move.
Undoubtedly, this is the greatest performance achieved using blood manipulation in JJKand this is Yuji by far his full power. Fans have only seen a small glimpse of what he is truly capable of doing at this point.

Yuji must fight Dabura and save Yuka Okkotsu
Yuji Itadori didn't return for no reason in Jujutsu Kaisen: Modulo. Primarily, He was brought back by Gege Akutami to help the humans fight against the current existential threat they face. As fans who have watched Modulo know, Japan is facing a major crisis as aliens known as the Simurians want to settle in Tokyo and completely ban the exorcism of Cursed Spirits, which absolutely cannot be allowed.
While the discussions went smoothly at one point, conflict erupted after Cross was shot and a battle of the mighty began over which side would take over Tokyo. Dabura is the strongest and leader of the Simurians. Against him, humanity had to pull out its trump card and that was Yuka Okkotsu. Yuka called Mahoraga, but it is now clear that Mahoraga is not enough. Dabura soon overtakes Mahoraga and destroys him.
with that it would seem that Yuchi's death is inevitable, but that's where Yuji intervenes. Yuji Itadori will be the one to save not only Yuka, but all of humanity. At the same time, Yuji is also likely to broker peace with the Simurians, and with that Gege unleashes the biggest fight yet in the Jujutsu Kaisen.
Through this battle between Yuji and Dabura, it is possible that he will be able to achieve his ultimate goal, which is to die surrounded by those he loves – something he was unable to achieve due to his special immortality.. Fans absolutely cannot wait to see where Gege takes Yuji's character next.
A sequel to Jujutsu Kaisen, called Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo, runs in Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine. The series takes place 68 years in the future, after the events of the Shinjuku Showdown. The main characters of Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo are Yuka and Tsurugi Okkotsu, the grandsons of Yuta and Maki. Jujutsu Kaisen Modulo Chapter 19 will be released on January 25, 2026.
