My Hero Academia had a long and successful runboth in terms of its manga and TV anime. My Hero Academia manga started in 2014 by its creator Kohei Horikoshi. The series continued to be serialized in Jump for about 10 years. With chapter 430, the My Hero Academia manga ended in late 2024.
However, at that point the franchise still had a year to go, thanks to the anime series. What really marked the end of the My Hero Academia series was the end of its anime adaptation. The final TV anime season of My Hero Academia came in late 2025 and officially ended in 11 episodes. with that the main My Hero Academia franchise has officially come to an end.

Ichi the Witch has been serialized for a little over a year now, and it's no secret that it's been a huge success for Weekly Shonen Jump. For a brand new series, Ichi the Witch achieved incredible sales and was one of the magazine's best-selling manga. Fans loved the story which follows the main character Ichi who is the only main male witch in the story. Like My Hero Academia, Ichi the Witch has a fun cast of characters that fans will love.
Additionally, fans should remember that Witch Ichi became as popular as it is today thanks in part to Horikoshi, the creator of MHA. Horikoshi highly recommended the manga to his fans and this certainly played a role in increasing the popularity and sales of the series.

Even the characterization of the main character is somewhat similar to Izuku Midoriya and the supporting characters are just as exciting as fans are used to seeing in My Hero Academia.
