Fallout Season 2 is now officially over, and there were some big reveals in the hour-long finale. Cooper's fate after giving the president a cold fusion diode, Barb and Janey's cryochambers, Hank and Steph's shocking past, and Lucy and Maximus' reunion were all given attention. The Fallout finale was as exciting as it was frustrating, and one of the most surprising jokes for Season 3 has big implications: The Ghoul is going to Colorado.
The Ghoul made it to the special administration vault in New Vegas, but Barba and Janey's cryochambers were empty. Well, mostly empty. A postcard for Colorado is found on the floor in Barb's room with the message on the back: “Colorado was a good idea.” During a flashback in the finale, Barb and Cooper half-jokingly discuss running away to Colorado, but it looks like Barb and Janey may have ended up there after all. This sets up some really compelling possibilities, as Colorado hasn't been fully visited in the main series Fallout games. However, there is one forgotten byproduct that includes settings. Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of SteelThe location in canon has remained unofficial (mostly) for years, but the game has key plot points specifically connected to Colorado. It suddenly does Fallout tactics one of the most interesting Fallout games right now, as it could be an indication of what Season 3 has in store.

Fallout tactics are very different from the main games. It's a strategy game instead of an RPG, but there are still a few role-playing elements involved. But Colorado isn't the only setting the game takes place in. Fallout tactics set in the Midwest, it spotlights places like Kansas, Missouri, and Chicago. Fallout Season 3 could make Vault 0 officially canon

Backup systems for the neurolines were not included in Vault 0, resulting in many citizens suffering extreme brain damage.
WITH Falloutseason finale tease that Barb ran off to Colorado with Janey, it's very possible that she could be in Vault 0 or the facility where she's located at the Cheyenne Mountain complex. Barb and Janey may not be the only ones waiting in Colorado. The enclave could also find its home in the Rocky Mountains.
The Fallout season finale confirms that the Enclave is more than just a bogeyman
The Fallout the show still didn't officially say that the Enclave built a secret base in Colorado, but the finale made it clear that the organization was the biggest bad guy all along. The Enclave was mentioned briefly throughout the series, but the Season 2 finale revealed that the shadow government was pulling the strings far more than originally thought. Turns out Hank MacLean was actually working for the Enclave all along. Not only that, but he and Steph got married before the bombs dropped, so she's involved in the Enclave's plans as well. It was a wild twist that further proves that the secret group will be at the fore next season. For the first time since a short time in Season 1, Fallout he took another look at the Enclave grounds and the surrounding terrain looked an awful lot like the snowy mountains of Colorado.
It is very possible that the Enclave have made their home in the Cheyenne Mountain complex. Since the complex is an actual stronghold built by the US government during the Cold War, it would make sense for the group to repurpose it. Enclave in Fallout is one of the most fascinating and powerful factions in the entire franchise, and the Rocky Mountains would be the perfect place to stay secluded.

Fallout Tactics' confusing place in the franchise's canon could turn Vault 0 into a blank slate
Fallout tactics not canon, but there are a few exceptions. Only Fallout tactics plot points that have actually become canon are the Midwestern Brotherhood of Steel chapter and the group's ability to build airships. Vault 0 may have its own story Fallout tacticsbut that doesn't mean the show has to fully honor it. Since Vault 0 isn't canon yet, the show can either scrap Calculator's story or rework it to fit a story that makes more sense for Barb and the Enclave's arc. There's no telling what Season 3 will do with the seeds Season 2 planted, but there are plenty of loose threads that could lead to some fascinating destinations.

There's still a lot to tie up. The good news is that Fallout Season 3 is already shaping up to be incredibly exciting. The bad news is that it will probably take a while to arrive. Filming for Season 3 doesn't begin until May 2026, so these questions likely won't be answered until 2027.
