WITH Code vein 2 moving to an open world format, this means the need to introduce a large number of new activities to the world that will help make this large explorable area more interesting and worth investing your time in.
To that end, the game has brought back a feature from the original game, though this time with a very different purpose. Hot Springs are spread all over the world so you can take a little break and admire the ruined world around you.
What are hot springs?
In the original Code Vein, a hot spring was found at your home base and you can relax in it to view memories and lore snippets at your leisure. this time, they are more of an informal experiencesimply to settle down for a while and enjoy the surroundings.
Of course you have to find them this time, spread all over the world. Taking your first rest in a hot spring also unlocks new crafting recipes that can't be unlocked any other way.
These are exclusively for items to reduce or remove status effectswhich you can also only buy as items, so it's not as much of a reward, although it's still nice to have.

Every hot spring and where to find it
In total, there are six hot springs you can find throughout the game. None of them are particularly well hidden, and a later side quest during the free exploration era with Craig will also lead you to most of the hot springs.

MagMell Academy Hot Spring
MagMell Academy's hot spring can easily be found inside the academy itself. Just head to the left rooms and then walk up to you find the blue curtain above the door. Continue to find the hot spring.
To relax here you unlock:
- Stall Vaccine
- Stone vaccine
Island Overlook Hot Springs
Island Overlook Hot Spring is located in southwest of the Sunken City regionby some broken rails and one of Jadwig's minions. It also overlooks the island of Insula Carcere, as its name suggests.
Resting here unlocks:
- Sun vaccine
- Stun vaccine
City Overlook Hot Springs
The City Overlook hot spring can be found south of town A plateau overlooking the city mistletoe in the Sunken City. It also has a very nice view of the city, dilapidated and flooded as it is.
Swimming here unlocks:
- Eclipse vaccine
- Snare vaccine
Sanatorium spa
You embark on your first journey to Hot springs sanatorium in the undead forest after your first encounter with Holly, who will send you on a healing journey. There are a large number of hot springs to bathe in, though they all offer the same reward.
Resting here unlocks:
- Slow vaccine
- Vaccine against toxic venom
Cave hot springs
These hot springs are probably the ones most players miss. They are not marked on the map as a hot spring, even if you visit them Cave Gorgeinstead denoted by the nearby mistletoe,Cave hot spring“, in the Undead Forest.
You originally came here with Holly, though you were kicked out before you could interact with them outside of the cutscene, meaning they don't count as used at all. Just take a step to mark them as rested.
Doing so will unlock:
- Vaccine inhibition
- Vaccine against fatal leakage
Valley Overlook Hot Springs
This hot spring is located on the west side of the Corroded Scar area. They just are north of the Tower of Regeneration and a rest area for miners.
A break here unlocks:
- Dissonance vaccine
- Acid vaccine
This will allow you to visit all the hot springs in the game and unlock the suggestively named ones Master Bather Achievement/Trophy.
